Today's been a nightmare but we won't go into that, too depressing!

I've been at work today and bought a couple of presents while I was in town, almost done now thankfully.

black v-neck jumper (Next via £1 sale in charity shop)
purple and black below knee skirt made from the softest jersey, 3 layers of varying lengths in black and purple (home made, fabric cost about £3)
    black opaques
black leather biker boots (£28 Tesco)

Planning a nice chilled Saturday tomorrow and I'm going to refuse to talk to anyone with an attitude problem!
Have a good evening everyone x

Goodness me, we are quiet in here. Suppose that means everyone's cracking on with their Xmas shopping like I should be.

Off to a party later so I'm using my time to read the papers, chill and generally gather my energy together for what threatens to be a crazed booze-fest into the small hours. As it's fancy dress we'll have to start getting ready in a few hours.

    Today's outfit:
    Denim leggings (Market)
Black kaftan with quilted embroidered front (Sample sale)
Taupe leather knee high platform boots (TopShop)
    Vintage checked waistcoat (Chazza shop)
Silver tassel earrings (H&M via boot sale)
Silver tribal rings and bangles (India)

    Enjoy your weekend, gang!

I'm sick. :( I was sick last night, totally siurprising myself, and thought nothing more of it...till a couple of hours later. Then the cat joined me, so the pair of us lay miserable on the bathroom floor togather. My dear, dear DH, has been wonderful...he'ss SUCH a doll. If I could bottle him and sell him I'd be rich!

So today, I dodn't have to do anything outside, andI've been wearind old but clean trackies, and an old sweatshirt of my dads. We were going ut tonight, and tomorrow lunch....not sure about tomorrow, but going nowhere tonight!

((((lir)))) Hope you start to feel a bit better soon.

I'm sort of in work today - I'm here but not really working, was mainly in to drop presents off to the people who finish today.

We bought the Christmas tree this morning :D

Anyway, after spending yesterday mostly covered in icing sugar and treacle (the kitchen is nowhere near big enough for all the baking I was doing!), I actually feel clean and quite presentable today:

Black canvas ankle boots - Office
    Indigo jeans - Dotty P's
    Black vest - ditto
Slash neck long grey top - also Dotty P's
Grey and white stripy cardi - Next clearance
    White pashmina
Silver & shell earrings - present
Oversized silver ring with grey and black quartz - craft fair

    Hope you're better soon Lir!

My plan of refusing to speak to anyone with an attitude problem didn't quite come off, Mum accidentally touched someone with one of her bags in a shop and didn't realise so the awful woman had a proper go at her and wouldn't accept her (profuse) apology. I wouldn't notmally say boo to a goose, or any other creature for that matter but I had to step in and stick up for Mum, she was being so horrible.
I'm sure an evening with the companion and a bottle of sweet white will make it all better!

    Today's outfit -
horrible acrylic but fits well v-neck black jumper (Primark £4)
black cotton below knee skirt with ruffles and layers (£17 Next clearance 5 years ago)
    dark purple tights (Primark £1)
    black legwarmers (Primark £1.50)
black leather biker boots (Tesco £28)
huge purple leopard print hoop earrings (Primark £1)
huge purple leopard heart shape ring (Primark, gift)
    black cardi-coat (home made)
black multicoloured leopard print scarf (Primark £3)

Hope everyone has a good evening x

Thanks girls, its not too bad really, and I have an excellent nurse in dh (and the cats are devoted in attendance too.) Just left a bit high and dry in the glamour stakes!

Anyway, I'm in an actual nightie now, not something that happens often. I like to have one or two attractive nighties to hand out of habit now because, when I first first ill I quite often had to ''recieve people'' from my bed, if I were to see anyone! So, I made it onto todays best dressed list after all. ;)

    Hi everyone,
Hope you are all feeling happier today - sems like the miserable weather is rubbing off...

I actually made an effort today as it's our baby's 2nd birthday (how did that happen?) We had a lovely party and I bought a new (ish) dress on ebay to wear.

    My outfit today:

Multi coloured Mina tunic dress - really pretty and floaty and covered my mummytummy!
    teal tights
Very high black platform shoe boots £60 Topshop about 3 years ago - used to WALK to work in these but just about managed to wear them for 3 hours this afternoon before putting sensible comfy flats back on.
    Lots of pretty jewellery
I felt really good in my outfit and I got DH to take a photo in a few days ago to check I looked OK but somehow the photos from the party made my arms look fat in the dress - why/how does that happen?

Anyway I felt like a princess and the party was so much fun.

Hope you all have a good weekend xx
  • I'm currently wearing my pink pyjamas & a badly-behaved black cat (accessorised with leopard-print collar).
