did anyone ese see the AMAZING sunrise this morning, it was late enough for normal time risers, and it was so very, very beautiful! I know that red in the morning should be concerning me, sloshing through the fields as I am, but it was so beautiful its worth some rain to have seen it.....every shade of orange/coral/peach and gold imaginable, with mauve wisps and shadows.
I've ut my old jeans out of sight. They were too big. . (Jeans are what I judge my clothes size by: they are unforgiving and have to fit in a lot of places!) So I think I'll wear the old tight, now fitting jeans today, black vest and cardigan: I'm only going to the supermarket!0 -
Lost, I saw it
gorgeous doesn't really begin to describe it!
Woo-hoo for smaller jeans
isn't that the best feeling? (I was 15 stone once, I remember that elation!)0 -

My goodness, you are a wisp of thing now....thats given me some hope! (I'm not aiming to be as slim as I was before I was ill, I'll be perfectly content if I can get to a 10/12.) I'm 5 foot five with quite small bones, so that still going to be reasonably ''covered''.:D Its a way off though.........0 -
Oh, don't aspire to be like me,
although I lost the first couple of stone healthily,
it was at a time I had an awful lot of **** going on in my life
and it spiralled in to an ongoing (7 years and counting *sigh*) battle with anorexia0 -
Hiya ladies - just saying thanks for your kind comments
Bronnie and goanmad - I'm well known for my meticulous outfit planning - it drives OH and my mates crazy :rotfl: Im going away on Wednesday, and have everything meticulously planned again - expect another marathon post in the morning!!!
Nite nite! x
Nothing wrong with that Mrs_Ryan, I'm exactly the same! I've got to go to London this weekend and have already decided on three outfits that I'm going to takeAdmittedly though two of them are for the same occasion - my boyfriend and I have been invited to his brother's army ball and I have no clue what to wear, so I've already packed two dresses and accompanying accessories!
However, before that, I have another day of work, and today's outfit is:
- Pink scoop neck jumper (Topshop via sister)
- Black flower corsage pinned to left hand side of jumper (Topshop)
- Grey pinstripe wide leg trousers (French Connection via sister)
- Black Mary Jane shoes with chunky heels (M&S)
- Black military style flared jacket (New Look) to come into work
- Multicoloured stripey scarf, beanie hat and mittens (Accessorize) to come into work
- Brown leather handbag (21st birthday present from parents)
- Usual jewellery (birthday/Christmas/graduation presents from parents and boyfriend)
Hair is straightened then messed up with spray wax, perfume is Body Shop Aqua Lily and no nail polish.
In work until around half five, then home to do more job stuff and chill out.

Oh my goodness, so many posts behind am I! Morning ladies!
Catch up time first.
:bdaycake:Goanmad.......belatedly happy, happy, happy birthday to you!
Sounds like you had a fab time and plenty of birthday cheer
Had a look at your blog last night, love reading it and you look stunning in that playsuit!
LIR hope mother is picking up a bit, so horrid to be taken ill at nighttime ................and also canine invalid is improving too! You're right about jeans being the best indicator for weight loss and what a fab feeling when you slip into them as opposed to huffing and puffing your way into them! (Knows both feelings!) Well done with your weight tho', I admire your perserverance in the face of factors that are less easy for you control. I have been shamefully AWOL from the Nov half stone thread......read between the lines on that one........:o .
Daisy have been empathising with your blah feelings over the last few days. I do struggle with the winter months I admit. Whereas in the spring and summer I wake up looking forward to what each day holds, in the winter I can wake up feeling "humph! another day!" Last night I was really tired after an-unusual-for-me 6.30am start and ended up feeling tearful in work (which is actually most UNLIKE me) and after giving my partner a bit of an earful, he gently suggested I went home early (Cue floodgates!) I am bizarrely resentful at having to smother myself in all these winter layers of clothes and one area I won't compromise on is keeping the heating on and the fire burning as I need to feel warm at home. I am sleeping with curtains open to max the daylight hours (as I don't usually get up til about 10am) and am looking at getting some MSE bargain-bucket-style-sunshine in Jan, which is what I really feel I need! I love your blog too daisy and well done moving forward with it so positively:T.
Hope you had a good weekend Mrs R...where are you off to next?
Everyone............not even bothering to list my outfit today, it's mostly black, woolly, warm and layered with boots! Going to pop and out and get some florist's oasis candles gold spray and bits and bobs as DD and BF went for a walk on Sun and collected lots of lovely bits of greenery, twigs seed-heads etc and we're going to be nice and creative and make some lovely MSE authentically-seasonal decorations!
Have a good day all!

Thanks, Bronnie!
Kirsty Allsopp's new series starts on Channel 4 later, all about Xmas decor - I loved her "Home-made House" series, our tastes are so similiar. She's the only only person whose heart misses a beat when they espy a vintage teatowel!!
Hope all are okay this morning. I've missed Aquasize as my back's so sore from all that shopping yesterday. I'll play with my birthday Wii Fit later - if I can puzzle out the instructions.:o
At the moment I'm trying on some of my Clothes Show purchases but today's planned outfit is very drab:
Purple hareems (Car boot)
Long grey ribbed vest (Topshop via boot sale)
Washed-out black Ramones teeshirt (Jumble sale)
Indian silver bangles and rings
Peacock feather earrings (Urban Outfitters via Car Boot)
Tibetan knitted socks in black with very bright patterns (India)
Have a lovely day!0 -
Goanmad, working out the instructions is the best bit of getting a new toy! It's why when I eventually get my new phone I'm going to get it first thing on a Saturday morning so I have a whole weekend to play with it and see how it works."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0

Hello all! Bit behind on posting, I've been MAJOR busy these past few days. Hope you're all feeling cheerful and Christmassy. Goan, I've been to the Clothes Show a few times but have never seen a Vintage Village? Sounds like my kinda place!
Today's outfit is:
Black skinnies
Denim shirt
Black tee
Brown leather belt
Brown brogues
Chain patterned silk scarf
Wooden bangle
Black cocktail ring
Happy Tuesday!0 -
Hi Grammargirl!
I think it was a new venture- made my day. Mind you, from chatting to the stallholders I don't think it was most people's cup of tea. Although a highly recommended trip, The Clothes Show does attract a depressingly mainstream kind of crowd and the sellers had such charming comments as "Yuk, it smells", "Looks like a charity shop" and "It's not very designer-y is it?".
How can vintage Dior, YSL and Ossie Clark NOT be designer?
Rich pickings for discerning shoppers like us but not so much fun for the stall holders!0
