  • Eeek Daisybella! Hope you are okay.

Glad you are feeling better PirateFairy, sometime an 'accidental' day away from technology is good for the soul :)

Just bumming round the house today:
Grey v neck fine knit jumper dress (Uniqlo)
    black leggings (Primark)
    grey leg warmers (don't laugh - I love them ;) ) (Uniqlo)
short chain silver round swirl pendant (from Mexico)
Long chain silver round dog-tagesque pendant (Adili/ Acsension)

For some reason I don't find grey that depressing :/ I'm very dark haired and also very pale and it just seems to lift my complextion - funny huh?

Hi all! Daisy, reading your posts has made me squirm in horror - I really hate veins, argh! Poor you, although you seem to be totally unfazed by it all.

I'm so excited to do my blog tonight - is that really sad?! I just love talking about myself, I guess! And I have a new camera with a self-timer on so I don't have to rely on my ever-suffering OH to take the pictures. Hooray!

Unfazed, yes, haha, after 7 years I'm used to it

I get excited to blog sometimes! Haha. Its not sad, I think it serves as a really good outlet and you get to "know" some awesome people.
    Saying that,
I'm glad at times (like today) to take a day off from it!

I love wearing grey sometimes too,
like you I'm very pale and it suits me more than a lot of bright colours! Plus it goes with lots of things!

I love legwarmers. I must dig mine out :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
Rotating IS the way to go. Our mothers and granmothers had fewer clothes than us, we just need some imagination to work them well and mix it up a bit. :)

    I love grey. :)

I'm shocked by how often I wear the same stuff, from using this thread. What a waste all my other clothes must be! My jeans are loose again though, so rather than hang on to them this time I'm going to get DH to put them in the attic, if i regain weight I will suffer in the tight ones and that will teach my flab to exand. (lir sticks out tongue at self). I have a whole host of lovely clothes a couple of sizes down that I can't wait to wear. :)

Daisybella, basics will all be included in sales in just a few weeks...

Today I'm slumming it clothes wise and have oil in my hair: not going anywhere. :)

claire- I'm fine! I've had far worse (once used a drip stand as a skateboard down hill, encouraged by a male nurse...forgot the busy road and ripped drip outta my arm ;)
    )

Thank you for this site Martin

I love grey! It's so sophisticated and modern. Softer than black but so much cooler.

    Hi all :D

Back from my hols and suffering a wardrobe crisis. I've now lost nearly 3 stone (the weight is whooshing off at the moment!) but now hardly anything fits and I have no money. Argh! Consequently I look like an utter tramp today - jeans that are 2 sizes too big, a really ratty green 3/4 sleeve top, oatmeal cardi and Green Flash.

I'm off to see Paloma Faith tonight so will have to find some inspiration from somewhere! I might just stick with something fairly plain and accessorise the hell out of myself.

So true. I improvise with what I've got and what I find at jumble sales, car boots and charity shops (with the occasional splurge in TopShop). Who wants to look like everyone else anyway? By adapting things to suit you, you develop your own style rather than changing it every year.

I've been swimming today followed by a walk around town. Thought I'd check out the last of TopShop's sale (and to see the teeshirt Grammargirl said was similiar to the one I refashioned on my blog).
The manager told me she'd had a rail of sale stuff from the Birmingham flagship store and there was a jacket on there she knew was made for me - she was right, it's a Kate Moss one I'd loved since spotting it on-line a while ago and in a size 8, too, whoppeeee!!!! I also splurged on some peep-toe black shoe patent boots ( like I need any more unsuitably high heels) and a pair of hareems :o:o. I've justified it as it's my birthday in three weeks.

    Today's outfit:
Skeleton on a Harley customised teeshirt (jumble sale - see blog)
Black ribbed Topshop vest and light grey Baxter jeans (Car boot sales)
Skinny grey leather belt (Jumble sale)
Black leather statement collar with jewels and studs (Chazza shop)
Taupe knee high platform boots with wooden stack heels (TopShop 3 years ago)
Vintage leopard print coat (Church fete)
    Indian tribal bangles and rings
    Silver filigree earrings (Car boot)
Vintage Kangol black angora beret (car boot)
Oversized navy blue leather tote bag (Car boot)

Off to blitz eBay! Have a great day!

    Thanks, sweetie!
Meant to mention in my post about your blood test - vile, vile, vile!! I hate anything like that, which is really silly considering I've had several blood transfusions, cannulas fitted and I used to give blood. xxx

Hi Alex..........hope your hol was good, sounds like you stayed foicussed as far as diet/exercise is concerned, SO well done!!:T. Treat yourself to a pair of jeans in your size (EBay/ charity shop if necessary!!)) and get rid of the rest , if you ask me, even if you have to wear the same pair every single day....you deserve to look as great as you must surely feel!!

GREY!...........I cannot wear grey with my colouring........ I look dreadful! I have succumbed on odd occasions when I haven't been thinking properly and always regretted it!!

DD are off on a jolly later ! It's my birthday today and we're taking ourselves off to Deganwy first thing in the morning for a one night stay, a spa treatment and a nice lazy chill-out! Got a good price with their "Welsh Warmer" offer, for room and full Welsh brekkie, plus a welcome glass of wine (for me) and a cuddly toy woolly Welsh lamb for DD ( even at 21, never too old for a cuddly toy!) Going to the piccies and something to eat in the evening and a wander round Conwy to photograph a few addresses for my genealogical research on Thursday morning. Got a bottle of fizz and some nibbles to have in the room and will be maxing out on the hotel facilities.

Makes the prospect of being another year older a bit more tolerable anyway!!

    Have a good day all!
