  • Aaaaahhhhh! How amazing!!! What did you buy?! I loved those days - I was at uni and had so much spare time so could work on pp as a full time job. I'm sad I've let it slide for so long but definitely want to get going with it properly again. I'm planning a website makeover soon too, and lots of new stuff.

Remember buying lots of things for stocking fillers for sisters and friends. Is great to hear you are getting back into it again, am loving what you have on there at the moment, may have to get myself a Xmas pressie!

Daisybella, am hoping that a walk in wardrobe will help me to organise my wardrobe better and make the most of my extreme shopping habit!

GrammarGirl, Daisybella, Piratefairy - all your blogs are really inspirational, is great to see 'wearable' fashion on girls that you can relate to!

    Morning all!

Perfume is Body Shop Aqua Lily, hair is straightened and then roughed up with Lee Stafford wax spray, and nail polish is Revlon Nail Enamel in Plum Night.

In work until half five, most of which will no doubt be spent hoping the phone rings about my interview last week, and then home to do my workout and watch University Challenge and I'm A Celebrity (I know I shouldn't like it but I do, it's my guilty pleasure).

    Happy Monday everyone!

The Lee Stafford wax spray sounds good...I haven't seen that. Since growing my hair, have had to change finishing products as the ones that worked on my short hair just weren't suitable. Had some success with Charles Worthington Choppy texture Paste, but when I ran out a couple of months ago, it had been discontinued . I like to get some volume and texture in ( hair has layers at the ends, but is quite thick and heavy and tends to want to fall flat into a smoother shape which I don't want! ) and also like a slightly 'mussed up' finish....but still soft and with some movement! Don't want much do I? Do you think this product would be suitable?

Hmm! Just had a look at the website. Feeling a trip to Superdrug coming on.....!!

Bronnie- hair wise, I use GOSH salt water spray (not its technical name)
on my long thick wavy (and annoying) hair, just to give it some texture instead of crazy medusa style...
not that I ever wear it down :o

I think it's due a cut though, to something just past my shoulders instead of half way down my back, its falling out in handfuls and previously when I've had short hair it's been busy because of the thickness,
now it's more normal I think I can handle short.

    *is rambling*
  • Lostinrates, well done on not spending any money! I stopped buying shower stuff earlier this year as I had far far too much of it (I am a bit of a junkie for anything with a nice smell), and it's quite a nice feeling to be like that!

Bronnie, I think they only sell it in Boots and on that website - might be worth looking out for the next time Boots do a 3 for 2 on fancy hair products? It's about £5 or £6 I think.

The spray is better than the regular wax in a pot as it's a lot lighter - I hate having loads of product in my hair as it's very thick, but it just falls flat if I don't give it any texture. So I would highly recommend it!

On the note of today's outfit, sometimes I get rather impressed by what my wardrobe has hidden away in it - I was searching for something else last night and found a little gem I haven't worn in ages! So today's outfit is:

    - Black scoop neck dress with frilly sleeves and print of small white polka dots and lipsticks (George at Asda)
    - Black tights (M&S)
    - Black Mary Jane style shoes with chunky heel (M&S)
    - Black wool mix military style flared jacket (New Look) to come into work
    - Multicoloured striped scarf, beanie hat and mittens (Accessorize) to come into work
    - Brown leather handbag (birthday present)
    - Usual jewellery (same as yesterday)

Hair is straightened then messed up with Lee Stafford spray wax, perfume is Body Shop Aqua Lily and nail polish is Revlon Nail Enamel in Plum Night - doesn't really go with this outfit but the heck with it!

In work until half five or thereabouts, then home to have a good chill.

    Happy Tuesday everyone!

Hi everyone:) Been busy with work and family stuff but still been popping in and out, I'm kind of bored of clothes atm and just putting on outfits that I know are ok but hardly inspired, I might be picking up a bit though cos I have heels on today for the first time in a while, oh the power of six inches;)

Dark blue loose jersey top - French Connection
Dark blue skinny jeans - Primark
High Knee length black boots - Jimmy Choo (part of a job lot bought between my friend and I about 4 years ago, we were supposed to make a profit but kept so many of them we didnt even brake even;))
Short belted black wool coat with satin trim - Local shop
LV bucket bag (dosnt really go but its my lightest large bag as I'm up and down to London atm)

    Have a great day everyone:D
Thank you for this site Martin

    Hi everyone,

Sorry I didn't get on yesterday I was so busy at work but coming down with a cold so curled up on the sofa with my sleep 3yr old when I finished work - lovely cosy cuddles!!

Glowgirl - that's how I'm feeling about my clothes at the moment too.

I find myself just rotating outfits...... need to mix them up a bit more. I could do with a trip to Primark but we're seriously broke at the moment and saving what we do have for Christmas presents!

    So today:
teal jumper dress - H&M last year
lovely soft black knitted scarf - dp
    black opaques
brown knee length biker boots - Next
cream coat for over - Next couple of years ago

Daisybella - that sounds awful at the hospital!! You ok??

claire- I'm fine! I've had far worse (once used a drip stand as a skateboard down hill, encouraged by a male nurse...forgot the busy road and ripped drip outta my arm ;))
it's all routine for me hahaha.

    Likewise with outfits,
I'm rotating like mad, and cant afford new basics, unless they go on store card which I'm working hard to pay off,
can't wait till after Christmas when I can save for some new bits!

Hi all! Daisy, reading your posts has made me squirm in horror - I really hate veins, argh! Poor you, although you seem to be totally unfazed by it all.

I'm so excited to do my blog tonight - is that really sad?! I just love talking about myself, I guess! And I have a new camera with a self-timer on so I don't have to rely on my ever-suffering OH to take the pictures. Hooray!

    Today's outfit is:

    Rose print dress
    grey ribbed tights
    Grey tee
    Purple cardigan
    Purple belt
    Black leather boots
    Gold nameplate necklace
    Bangle stack

I've been really inspired by a girl who looks utterly gorgeous at work today... got a few ideas and want to execute them as cheaply as possible, so will be trying them out over the next few weeks. Yay! :)
