There is 3 of us which isn't too bad. My flatmate is american pays an extra £6 for some kind of calling plan thing to the states but I couldn't believe how much it is!

Plus we often have to turn off the box and restart it as the wifi drops off

Will definitely be good to be in charge solely of the bills, at least I can be in control of things like using the dryer, electric fan heater, leaving lights on that kind of thing which my flatmates do without thinking - I'm much more of a turn it off / down etc kind of person!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Make up, I got Plusnet last year after 2 years with the dreadful 3 (words fail me on how carp they were) and I only pay £19 a month for 10GB of broadband and free evening and weekend calls. I got it on Quidco too and got £20 I think. I had a BT line and Plusnet just took it over so I think the internet bit is only £5ish. I don't download or anything (I don't know how!) but the 10GB is good for me. HTH X

Some small steps of progress :o I applied for a Capital One credit card through quidco this morning and £23 has tracked  I'm rapidly running out of offers on quidco though, so need to look to alternative means to generate a bit of extra income.

I ordered a £15.50 YSL Touche Eclat. I think mine is running out and it's a bargain :D

I also ordered some trackie bottoms from M&S (with 10% discount code :D) as I want to start doing yoga and possibly running again.

I'm still contemplating what to do with my savings. I was thinking of opening the best ISA that allows transfers in and putting it all in there and paying in every month. Now I'm wondering if I might be better off putting my existings savings in an ISA and putting my monthly savings in a regular saver. I'm not sure

I've also realised that I probably have quite a bit of disposable income compared to some. That implies to me that I'm being a bit wasteful, so I'm going to start my spending diary again to see where it's going :o

Haven't been here for a while...I've been having a bit of a break and trying to get myself sorted out a bit. I've been lurking on and off.

Finances are ok-ish :o I've been continuing to save and pay off the credit card, but I've also treated myself, possibly a few too many times :o Amongst my new purchases are a Clinique Lip Smoothie, some new pumps (needed), Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche perfume (definitely not needed :o) and a few other bits and pieces. I need to rein things in a bit now.

Not much other news really. Nationwide are still pants and now A&L seem to be hopeless too. I keep praying for a lottery win... If I'm honest though, financially things aren't too bad. They could be better (as always), but they could be an awful lot worse and I've been giving myself a bit of a break. Once I'm back on tip-top form I'll be back on here regularly. Hopefully doing a bit of selling, matched betting and the like. I want to get rid of this credit card and with my time, I've been thinking that I really want to do some more travelling.

So I'll leave again for now and be back soon

Thanks girls! I will be back, I'm just finding I'm much more productive if I try and limit my time on here.

Good to hear you're doing well Buffy, just take care of yourself :A

Things are coming together slowly Shoe Gal...formulating some vague plans for the future at the moment...

Yay makeup! I wish I had Wimbledon tickets this year, but alas not :( What about you? When do you get your hands on that flat? :j

You'll see I've 'done a Lula' and rounded down my debt...looks much neater :D It'd be neater still at £0, but never mind. I've added a holiday fund to my signature. I have two holidays coming up (neither as extravagant as they sound). One is a few days in Europe, the other a week in a cottage, but both should be lovely. I need to pay for the accomodation and save up spending money before I go. I might also dip into that pot for other one off expenses occasionally aswell. It's basically for any large expenses that don't involve the house or car. I want to save up for some new glasses and a new laptop when the holidays are sorted.

    That's it for now.

    Hi Gwen

Latest on flat is that I should be completing on 16th July and it isn't a day too soon!!!

There will be more Wimbledon tickets in the future no doubt!!!

Your two trips sound lovely - I love having a holiday to look forward to.
