    Hi gwen

    Thanks for that.

Sorry to hear things didn't work out with the man.....I can see what you mean though, maybe your email might help things.

At least your sleep is improving but your memory loss is a bit  is this mentioned as side effect of your drugs???

Hope you see more improvements soon

Things are ok thanks, Shoe Gal. How are you? Have felt rather pants since everything started going wrong with POF man. I thought the email might help makeup, but judging by his most recent facebook status, which I think is directed at me, perhaps not. Quite confused about that. I took ages writing it and was sooo careful about how it was worded, so that it couldn't be misinterpreted. It really was a good email. Not a lot I can do now though.

Memory loss is rather  makeup. I keep thinking what if it doesn't come back when I stop the tablets?? It wasn't even that great to start off with  I think it is a possible side effect. I'm not even concentrating very well. Tonight, I was so distracted by a blue flashing light in the distance that I nearly ploughed into a load of cones on the motorway :o

I got a letter from BT today telling me that my account is ~£40 in credit :T Now I've moved to Plusnet, I should get that back. I'm debating what to do with it...send to CC, send to savings account or treat myself...

Haven't got my bill from Santander yet, which is slightly worrying. As is the fact that the direct debit doesn't seem to have been set up for the payment going out. Need to sort that out tomorrow.

Not sure if there's something wrong with my post, but I've never had my mbna card statement either. I rang them up today though. It was ~£20 in credit, so I've sent that to Santander instead.

Still need to sort out those awful Hastings Direct vouchers :( And Nationwide are still hopeless...

Went to see my consultant today. She wants to increase my dose :( Oh dear. Am bracing myself for another horrific period of adjustment... She really is lovely though. I know she's paid a lot of money to be lovely, but she does it very, very well and she's so sweet :A She told me she would like to increase the dose, but she wouldn't force me because I wasn't keen, but then we discussed it and decided that as I am off work at the moment it was better to do it now than decide it needs doing further down the line, when I'm back at work and struggle with the 'adjustment period' while working. It can always be lowered again if it doesn't work out. She thinks it's a bit too soon for me to go back to work aswell and fears my improvements may be jeopardised if I do, so she wants me to stay off for a few more weeks. Hope work are ok about it :o

Feeling really tired now... I didn't get up until 11.30am!! You'd think I'd had an exhausting day or something, but all I've done is go to the doctors, go to the shops to pick up a bit of food and went for a coffee...hardly taxing stuff...

Just checked quidco and £120 from npower has moved to 'validated' :T

Oh I forgot my other main news of the day. I was stopped for speeding :( Very, very naughty. Was doing just over 40 in a 30mph zone :o Arghh!! The policeman told me I'd be served a fixed penalty notice fine of £60 and get 3 points on my previously untarnished driving licence  Otherwise, I'd have to drive up the road and watch a safety video. I gave him my best 'I'm sooo sooorrrryyyyy' eyes whilst adjusting my top slightly and said 'I'm on my way to a hospital appointment...I don't have time to watch the safety video right now' hoping he'd take pity on me... He smiled slightly...I suspect he was not unfamiliar with this tactic and wasn't having any of it, saying 'Well you'll be served a fixed penalty notice and have 3 points put on your licence then'. Argh!! Could not bring myself to get the fine and points, so reluctantly agreed to go and sit in a room, unreasonably close to people I'd never met before and watch the video.

I know, speeding is naughty :o It is a slightly deceiving stretch of road though. It isn't really built up. There are a few very big houses...behind-gates-at-the-end-of-a-driveway-type-houses, but otherwise it's a country road. Probably because of this they were getting pretty much everyone and I reckon the only reason some weren't done is that they'd created such a backlog of vehicles, some people were forced to slow down and were aware of what was happening before they got to the camera. Anyway, there were loads of us...all driving up and down this little road and going in to watch the video. If you caught anyone's eye there was a sense of shared embarrassment as you looked at each other and each thought 'Yeah I got done too'. Oh well. I shall be more careful in future. Was a bit late for my appointment, but got there in the end and another patient was late (I suspect also caught!!!) so she could fit me in.

Oh no Gwen, at least there was a no fine option! Would have been annoying to get points to say the least!!!!

Did the doc give you any idea of how long it takes to adjust? I agree with her that better to be at home to deal with side effects and to be honest, it doesn't matter what your work thinks about you being off sick - hard cheddar!!

There is no point you going back to work and not being well, that normally means you end up getting sick again and having even more time off work so even more disruptive.

Far better to go back to work being 100% and able to give the job the attention it deserves.

Can't wait for tomorrow to be over - roll on the weekend!!

    Hello

Yes, good advice makeup...particularly as I've spent most of the weekend feeling terrible. I think I do need a bit more time off, but am worried about work at the same time. As I've been feeling terrible it's probably best I up the dose aswell.

I'm being absolutely useless at the moment and I can't be. I have stuff to do, so I'm writing myself a list for this week:
    • Go to GP tomorrow for new prescription and note (also mention that since I had a cold, I keep getting earache...ear infection?) - Done
    • Email boss - Done
    • Phone Occupational Health nurse - Done
    • Post note into work - Done
    • Close Amazon credit card - Done
    • Sort house insurance - Done...I let it renew:o
    • Sort out DD for Santander credit card that hasn't been set up...suspect NW may be to blame
    • Set up DD for savings account as Nationwide missed it off
    • Sort npower move out
    • Call Plusnet about why they've put £5.99 in my account...I don't mind if they want to put money in my account, but don't understand why??
    • Email friends (way behind on this one...they may think I'm dead...)
    • Order carpet cleaner
    • Sort out Hastings Direct fuel vouchers
    • Find new savings account/ISA for savings
    • Pay Santander card - Done

Good luck with your list Gwen.

Can't believe you are still having troubles with Nationwide.

I know you had mentioned First Direct, I'm with them, been with them a year and so far so brilliant.

I find them really helpful on the phone. A real person answers really quickly and they always seem knowledgeable.

I had only one problem with a DD and that was stupid Egg and it was Egg's fault. Not First Direct, who gave me the proof for Egg and totally understood the situation unlike the 'person' at Egg who was so frustrating in his ignorance.

I saw on the insurance board a mention of Hastings Direct and their fuel vouchers and I nearly posted on there with dire warnings!!!!

    Take care!

Ah yes, Nationwide...possibly the only company more useless than Hastings Direct...

I will be moving to First Direct as soon as I get my money from NW. I had heard good reports from them, so hopefully there'll be less problems.

You've just reminded me - I need to sort out the Hastings Direct vouchers.

I'm starving, haven't eaten much today...why am I on here? I need to find food.
