People often would like a second opinion, and clearly many people are happy to offer their perspective on things. If you are not interested then don't post, but do not belittle those who seek some advice from others on here.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

god how boring are you going on about your sons gf on a forum? wonder what she thought of you?
It really annoys me when people ask for opinions then question it all if its not what they want to hear?
Bet she hasnt gone on a forum sounding off about you! whose gives a toss about your problem anyway we all have our own![/QUOTE]
:rotfl:to be fair Red Devil - considering some of your recent threads - some may say they find your problems/issues a little on the dull side - perhaps you mean wouldn't consciously bore people?!0 -

They shouldnt get your back up then should they when they dont hear what they want to hear and make comments?
They should feel lucky anyone has taken the time to be interested!
Complete and utter waste of time when you only hear one side!
How can you give advice?:footie:0 -

i cant see where I have posted family problems we have loads but sorry I wouldnt bore anyone and I have the sense to know that people would only be hearing one side aswell?
How come people cannot deal with their families anymore on their own and have to ask strangers?:footie:0 -
To the OP - I agree with the posters who say you will have to bite your tongue on this one.
I know it will choke you to do it, but I think it may be a good idea to get both of them together, and apologise for getting off to a bad start with one another. If this woman is the manipulative cow she sounds like, at least you have then shown VERY clearly that you have made an effort.
Otherwise I think this girl will use the "your mum hates me it's all her fault!" excuse for everything and your son will be up a creek without a paddle.
Your son sounds like a sweetheart but as you say, possibly a bit naive about certain things...unfortunately people can sense that and use it to their own ends.
You never know, his girlfriend may not be so bad really, perhaps she has mental health issues or a difficult past that cause her to behave in a way that's hard to understand. If they stay together you may discover hidden depths to her and go on to have a good relationship. Good luck!0 -
I think you have to accept that your son is an adult, and try to get to know his girlfriend better. It sounds like you've only met her once, so I think it's a bit early to be making judgements. "Whirlwind" romances can certainly work. I know plenty of people (myself included) who got engaged after a few weeks and are now happy.0

Yes i know i posted that thanks. It was more of a what to do people do, rather than a drawn out thing about a certain member of the family not pleasing the other which needed alot of explaining and you needed to hear the two sides!
I can assure you i will never post about individual members of the family etc zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Yawn.
Got any good jokes bit more entertaining isnt it than trying to be an unpaid agony aunt over the pc and only getting the one side.:footie:0
