I will continue to say that people ought to take responsibility for their actions and when we borrow money we should make provisions to repay it if we become ill or unemployed. And unlike other posters who are contributing nothing except to take pot shots , make snide remarks I will continue to stick to my point.Honesty and integrity are attributes that made this country Great.Sadly, they do not count for much in this day and age.

P.S-I personally think it is hilarious when people have so much time in the world that they can trawl through over 400 posts and pick up a few select ones and post them on the forum. As for ignore that is an option that is awlays recommended when you go on to public forums. You always get these abusive ,snide, remarks and rather than reporting them or telling them to go away you can choose to ignore them.Better than trying to stifle others and ordering them to stop posting.

Many of your comments have been nasty and unpleasant. Most unnecessary.

You weren't blunt. You weren't straight talking. You were vindictive.

If that's your definition of personal integrity, so be it.

People can usually handle the truth. If it's pitched in an appropriate way. You failed the test.

Must be real lonely up there on your moral high ground

Whilst I think dfh is has been a bit daft with some of his posts, I have the say that I belive the moral high ground is a much better place than the moral low ground.

Is it too much to ask people to read T&C's of any agreement they sign up to/ Actually if we tell them that there may be a loophole to wriggle out of paying ,I bet people will spend hours poring through them.

This whole thread is horrific, although I'm glad some helpful posts actually helped.
As for you dfh, your anger is totally unwarranted in this situation .
You don't know the facts, you don't understand the circumstances and you don't know the person.
You made an opinion based on an assumption based on bullsh!t, and for some reason stuck with it when you were called out.
You need to grow up. There are people that deserve your anger in this world, the people that genuinely can work but don't because they know they don't have to.
The last thing the OP needs is a little twerp like you acting all high and mighty when they're in need of constant medical attention and have debts over their head due to a society that has thrown common sense out the window.
Go back to reading the daily mail.

I have every sympathy for people who are ill but surely if you have a pre-existing illness that makes it even more imperative that you make some provision to repay a loan if you are in difficulties. If a loan is for treatment fair enough but if it for home improvements or to buy a car we need to ask-can I really afford that,do i really need that..Besides there are grants and other provisions for people who are ill.Social services often get involved to sort things out.

Margaret Thatcher said that ultimately we are all individuals and we need to take responsibility for our own actions. We just cannot turn round and say that just because society has thrown common sense out of the window,I will do the same.Another common phenomenon seen in today's world.Blame others and evade responsibility.

When did I imply that I was not going to settle the full outstanding balance of the loan? ???

Quote from earlier DFH post directed at me "I am very different from you, thank you very much.I had a fantastic upbringing.Unlike you,"

    TO ALL

I have chosen not to give the poster DFH any satisfaction in responding to this snipe as I stated earlier just can't be doing with wasting the time because whatever I responded this poster would feed off of it and retort with some other comment targetted to cause a reaction and so my opinion remains as stated earlier that this particular poster, likes to post comments for affect and they are not concerned about causing offence or being hurtful and nasty, they just like to get into it with whoever chooses to respond, bit like a small child taunting an insect.

While people respond the poster will carry on taunting and revel in the retorts, if I was you I just wouldn't waste my time.
