As stated previously I just find you purely offensive with nothing constructive to contribute, you have abused a person who is ill through no fault of their own and they should not be persecuted for that.
I saw a programme on TV about this woman on TV who had three jobs as she was trying to repay her council tax which she had fallen behind on.However,as she could not pay as much as was being demanded by the council, bailiffs were sent in to see if they could possess items from her house.Yet,if she had decided not to work and claimed benefits then they would not have been chasing her.So hard faced people like you go and bully people who are trying to pay back yet sit back when the lazy spongers collect their dole money and sit back and enjoy. This typifies exactly what is wrong with our country these days.Absolute madness.0 -
Nobody plans to fall ill.It is an unfortunate event that comes without any warning.Which is why we have unemployment cover or critical illness cover. When we take out any loans we are asked to think how we may repay our loans if we fall ill or become unemployed. We are told that we have to keep up repayments even if we become unemployed or fall ill.
It is interesting that you are so busy being abusive and offensive yourself, you are overlooking these critical points.
The OP was born with this condition and as such it is a pre-existing health condition and so cover cannot be taken out. If you feel that I have been abusive and offensive then report it.
DFH I was going to respond further but do you know what, I think the time spent doing this would be wasted.I am a Mortgage Adviser
You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Mortgage Adviser Code of Conduct. I am very different from you, thank you very much.I had a fantastic upbringing.
Unlike you,I do not seek to stifle debate and report posts that express a different viewpoint from mine.I like debate and like people to express their opinions. But I guess in your trade you have to be dictatorial and be intolerant to different viewpoints and criticism.I still maintain that each of us has a responsibility to think about future problems when taking on debt and to make provisions for what might happen if we are unable to repay our debts.0 -

Well so much for you being Mr Wiz Kid “The Financial Genius”. Your remarks regarding how foolish and irresponsible I am not to have critical illness cover are absolute nonsense. Obviously you don’t understand the definition of a Pre-existing health condition, otherwise you would have known that PPI cover is not an option.
It’s one thing to make a fool of yourself by talking a load of gobbledygook on the forum. However, considering how inaccurate your knowledge has been within this thread, it’s perhaps best that you don’t make a habit of giving people advice regarding monetary affair’s. Due to how many people you have offended by your abusive and obnoxious remarks within this thread.
I STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU POST NO FURTHER COMMENTS.!!!!!!0 -
I have been thanked more than 300 times on these forums. That says how useful my posts are.I would say anybody who borrows money should make some provision on how to return it in the face of adverse circumstances. It is interesting to note that posters have all been abusive and abrasive and yet accused me of being the same when there has not been one word of abuse in my posts. Also,I have not seeked to stifle debate by ordering people not to post or tried to get any posts removed.0

If you read the terms and conditons of any agreement,it specifically says that money borrowed has to be repaid irrespective of ill health or unemployment. It urges the borrower to think about how they may repay the money if they become ill or unemployed. We as borrowers have a responsibility to put some provision in place and prepare for this eventuality. It is all the more important if we have any pre existing conditions.
And whatever happened to the good old concept of saving up for something? People have been so caught up in this easy credit mania for the last ten years that they have been drawing out so called equity from their houses ( HPI was another con ) for "home improvements".People need to ask themselves-Do I really need? Can I afford it? But most people bought into the con that their houses will keep on rising in value and they would use that "equity! to pay off what they had borrowed. It is a sad state of affairs thanks to Mac Clown and Co.0 -

Dfh, you have a short memory and have misunderstood peoples abrasive response to you, let me explain.
You are right, there is not one word from you that is abusive - since your early posts in this thread were removed....
Why is that? because they were deemed abusive by the people who reported you for abuse and then they were deemed abusive the the mods who removed them, but technically you are right, your abuse is no longer visible within this thread.
None the less, they existed long enough for alot of people to read them and form there own opinion.
Now you might argue at this stage that you havent been in the slightest part abusive, but are you are prepared to stand by that and repost your earlier comments for all newcomers to see? if you did I bet they would be removed again - for being abusive.
If you slap someone in the face you cant honestly think they are then going to thank you when you decide that it is time for them to get some of your pearls of wisdom can you?
People were offended by your original comments, regardless of how helpful you feel you are now being, people have not stopped being offended by you....if you feel that people are abrasive, perhaps it is because they read your earlier comments - just a thought
And to quote your own words Dfh
"Live and let live should be the motto." 20.07.09 - I couldnt agree more, try to practice what you preach.
And one of your posts that the original poster and a fair few others might find ueseful.......
"I have just added ???????? to my ignore list.I didn't realise such a fantastic option existed. All you need to do is click on the user name and view public profile. There is an option ignore user. The best thing is that once you put someone on ignore you cannot see any of their posts and you are blissfully unaware of whatever rubbish they spout ! Brilliant idea from MSE." 20.07.09.
One final piece of advice, not wishing to stifle debate, I merely advise that you put the shovel down, the whole you dug yourself is quite deep enough for most purposes.0
