The thing that really gets me - and it's something that a lot of people are guilty of - is when they wear clothes that are obviously far, far too tight - then boast that they're a size whatever. You're not a size 10 or whatever you proclaim to be, you're at least 2 sizes bigger than that and would look (and feel!! I always think that they can't be able to breathe properly ) much better if you actually wore your proper size.

    And breathe :)

Especially in jeans-some of the muffin tops I've seen recently, they must have been in agony standing up, let alone once they sat down:eek:. Wear stuff that fits, whatever size you are.

Ok, Ive got a 'real proper' pro tip for you....

To find out what length of skirt really suits you.

Stand in front of the mirror in your pants. Take a pillow case, and hold it so the bottom of the case is at your feet, and its flat across your body. Slowly pull the pillow case up your legs, and there WILL be a point where your legs look fantastic. Obviously its different for every person, but you will have a 'eureka' moment where your legs look cracking.
And thats the length of skirt you need to go for!
You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....

Can I ask advice from you girls?... I wear a lot of floaty tops tucked into highwaisted flared trousers and kitten heals. Now what I want to know is is it ok for my bra (pretty one) to show ever so slightly through or should I always wear something substantial underneath. I saw a picture of kate moss in similar outfit but she didn't even have a bra on and you could see everything! But I'm not ready for that! I'm confident enough to show off a bit of underwear but is it a fashion faux par?

8-10 in tops but I'm larger on the hips. I have a tiny waist if that makes sense?

The things is though hun - that if your bra can be seen , pretty as it is, so can your skin... It is a really odd look that, however slim you are, doesn't look classy, no matter how you look at it. This would be at least in the UK - on your hols, when the sheer top is over a bikini or in the candleglow of a taverna is a bit different - but here, on an everyday basis is probably best not. A very simple camisole is best, fitted, not loose and made of silky, strech fabric - no vest or ribbed materials.

You probably know all this - and others I'm sure will advise better than me.

Does it make a difference if they are dark colours? (grasping at straws)

Its hard to say without seeing the outfit as a whole, but I think I'd have to agree with GotToChange. It'd look great with a Bikini underneath when you're on Holiday, or perhaps for a night out.... but for everyday wear, I think it'd look classier if you had a vest top underneath.
