The Great 'Gok Yourself' How To Dress Thread

Wow didn't know Bon Marche did bras even! and kudos to the lovely fitter!
Have you been in M&S recently? I have the opposite problem, small back, big boobs and in the last year they have vastly improved the selection of "Big Girl Bras" so might be worth checking. I think the standard of the fitters is pretty variable though, but I can fit myself.
If you are confident at fitting yourself try George at asda for cheap bras, they have great ones but hardly any are small enough in the back for me, often you need a smaller back size in there as they are quite generous, like with their clothes!
I did go into M&S. Apparently, unless I have a cup size comparable to a !!!!!! actress, I don't need a nice bra. When I was younger and slimmer, I struggled with an A cup, and the general proportions have followed me as I have grown fatter. Clothes from Evans just dwarf my front - I could probably fit a duvet in them, most of the time, and still have room. Mind you, as practically everything in there seems to be designed to flash them and stick them right out into everyone's faces (unless it's a manky T shirt that looks knackered before it gets home from the shops), maybe it's not a bad thing that I can't buy them.
But thank you anyway - it may well help the rest of the female population who have huge ones when they go up the dress sizes!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Just read through everything that i missed and im sorry if i have personally ofended anyone.
I didnt start posting on this thread as a look at other people arent they silly but as a forum to discuss top tips and to learn from other peoples opinons.
As a former size 24 and now size 14 i have major issues with weight, with when to buy clothes and how they look, when i was big i had issues with knowing what looked good and didnt really have anyone to advise on how to dress better, so my comments are kinda aimed (in a slightly humours way i hope) to those people that dont realise how they look to others, in some cases (as it was in mine) because i looked in the mirror and all i saw was fat no matter what i wore and then didnt realise how awful i looked.
Also, i think its kinda hard to critique something external, a person is a human being, but externally you are just clothed flesh and bones, i dont judge people by the way that they dress (or i try not to anyway) but i do notice what poeple wear and mentally find myelf evaluating their style, even if i do not agree with the way it looks please dont think that i would ever walk up to a stranger and laugh at them, but my friends do know me to be honest, if you ask me if your bum looks big and it does i will tell you, but i will also explain why and maybe together we can work on a different outfit that flatters rather than highlighting other things.
Once again, im really deeply sorry if i have offended or upset anyone

Even BonMarche has better designs than M&S and trained fitters. Very tactful ones, too. I saw one ever so gently persuading a woman with about 6 boobs per side to go into the changing room for a fitting this week.
ooooh you might be interested to know that they are planning on doing more bigger sizes in the prettier bras (am a 42F so have that problem!) i asked last time i was in!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

One tip I heard quite a few years back & have stuck to is:
If you remember the trend the first time round, you're probably too old for it when it comes back in!
This means I'm steering well clear of all the 80's stuff around at the moment in case I end up looking like my 8 year old self!Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06
