What do you think is best if you have put on a few pounds around the hip/belly area, a nice all-in-one swimming costume, or bikini but have a sarong close at hand.
I felt quite conscious of it the last time I went on holiday, but did notice I am not the only one with a few extra tyres
so should I care.
No, you shouldn't care! You're on holiday and after a couple of days of relaxation you probably won't be that self conscious.
However there is a rather chunky lady at my Aquasize class who's just abandoned her tankini for an all-in-one and looks loads slimmer in it.0 -

I still cant get over how many people seem to think its ok to go out with their gut on show. More and more these days Im seeing young girls go out with tops so tight that you can see the outline of their bellybotton sticking out.
General rule of thumb is that if you can see your bellybutton outline, then your top is WAYYYY too tight![/QUOTE]
... and made of a really cheap, poorly woven fabric.
ew.
And what about the new tendency to forget bras - most recently displayed by Jennifer Aniston and VB - even in what must have been cold weather (in LA - OK yes)?
ew again.

I have to admit he gets on mine too!! I would definitely agree with the comment re: bras fitting I work with an absolutely stunning girl, probably size 8-10, I'd guestimate she's probably something like a 30e or f in reality, however she appears to be wearing more like a 34b, riding up at the back and with massive quad-boob!
Not everyone should or can wear leggings - I'd say this is also true of jeans ( I know many people will disagree) but I think there are some people who have to be very very careful with them. I have quite a small waist, but wide hips, and very few pairs fit right. I regularly see people with similar shapes squeezed into awful fitting jeans, normally with muffin top and a tshirt that probably fits with trousers or a skirt but just clings with the jeans.0 -

9. because you have the same top in 5 different colours (try being more adventurous)
10. if its shorter than you would let your teenager (hypathetical or real) out of the house in
Otherwise go for it
Oh, and when purchasing a batwing top a vest top underneath does wonders to prevent flashing your bra to the whole world (and if you prefer to swing free this is an essential)
One more, sorry - wet look leggings, should be tight and only with heels
lol, look at me the fashonista, im going to open my own advice section in my local Primarni changing room lol

Sorry, but I disagree.
I wear my pvc leggings at least once or twice a week. Im 6ft1 in my bare feet, and frankly, would look bloody stupid wearing them with heels to work! You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....
*I have done reading too*
*I have done geography as well*0 -

hmmmm, maybe i should amend to "if vertically challenged" but then it was the tight thing that bothers me more, the person i am thinking of wears them quite baggy which doesnt flatter their figure in my opinion, i dont like anything that wrinkles at the ankles lol0 -

Isn't swimwear evil?! I think it depends on your shape and whether you can get a nice well fitting swimsuit. I'm different sizes on chest waist and hip
, so getting an all in one to fit everything is impossible - so while my hips aren't great:o, it's more flattering to bare more in the bikini that fits than to try to cover up in the swimsuit that doesn't! 0 -

I bet you look fab in yours!
They sell those wet-look leggings on our local market for £1.99 a pair and you wouldn't believe the folks you see wearing them around town, including grannies in mobility scooters accessorising them with horse print fleeces. :eek:0 -

I feel the same, I look horrible in a swimsuit, I feel a lot more confident in a bikini, even though my tummy is on display. I feel self concious wearing it though as if everyone thinks I am deluded. Sucking the tummy in is not an option as I am usually lugging a big bag and an excited toddler around at the same time!0 -

why do people wear low slung jeans when they have a fat belly, especially in conjunction with a tight top?
put it away !!!!!!:mad::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
The thing that really gets me - and it's something that a lot of people are guilty of - is when they wear clothes that are obviously far, far too tight - then boast that they're a size whatever. You're not a size 10 or whatever you proclaim to be, you're at least 2 sizes bigger than that and would look (and feel!! I always think that they can't be able to breathe properly
) much better if you actually wore your proper size.
And breathe
