    I can see we responded to you yesterday afternoon. Please respond when you can. There looks to be a delay on all options at the moment but we can hold your order and offer a free pair of glasses from our gold collection for while you wait. While we have given an estimated time, most back ordered frames can arrive within a few days to a couple of weeks.

    I ordered Tom Ford glasses on the 16th of June and have been tracking the progress online. For the past 5 days the website says the lenses are being prepared for glazing. I have tried to call the number but it says it is out of service and after emailing customer service got an auto generated reply saying that due to high volume the response time could exceed 3 days.

    Looks like Im not the only one wondering where my glasses are!

    I've ordered a pair of the £6.95 glasses from selectspecs this evening, as my eye test backed up that I pretty much need to wear them all the time and the NHS cheapy ones for us students are pretty poor / not very 'cool'.

    Didn't realise the cheap ones were Hong Kong based until I read this. Mix of reviews across the board. I hope by 2ish weeks times I get a good pair of glasses.

  • I did get an email stating that the glasses would be delayed 4-7 weeks. I sent a followup email and will wait that amount of time. I appreciate the gesture of providing me the Gold collection single vision if I pay the shipping. I'll try that as well and see how it goes. Thanks for your help, I'll post back once this is completed.

    My budget glasses shipped from HK arrived on Thurs, Only took a week! Bit cheaper looking in person than online pics, still good though. they feel good and my prescription isn't too taxing so all round win for me.

    I just ordered 5 items from selectspecs on July 9th and was reviewing my order on July 10th only to realize that the prices changed after I logged in!!!

    All the items are considerably more expensive than advertised. When I first entered the website, both the frames and the contacts were one price, only to be considerably higher after I log in without any explanation! And I only realised they are way more expensive now, after I placed the order (the different currencies made it harder to realize when I purchased). I have pictures to prove how the prices change on the items I ordered before and after I log in. Anyone else had this problem on their website as well?

    I have tried to make contact with them through Customer Services for two days and haven't had any response. So, I will try this forum to see if they can address my case. It doesn't seem fair for the price to change in the middle of the shopping experience...

    We are a UK based company, therefore our prices may in some cases reflect prices including VAT, however, once registered and logged in to your account with a delivery address outside of the UK, VAT will automatically be removed from the price and shopping cart value and vice versa.

    We can’t change prices unfortunately.

    The prices INCREASED after I logged in, and not the other way around. I am not in the UK and the delivery will be in Portugal. How do you explain the price increase after login?

    The price I payed for the items is still above what is being advertised on
    the website right now, and changes considerably right after I log in. And I cannot buy unless I log in, so how do I get the glasses for the price you are showing on the website?

    Even if that is standard procedure for your company (to raise the price
    after log in automatically), it should be stated somewhere that the price
    is being increased and why.

    I'm not asking you to change the price, I am asking you to charge me the prices you advertised.

    Thank you for your email – when you log in, you can see the prices for your country.

    Without logging in you see incorrect prices (general ones). Once you log in, you can see prices for your order and your case.

    I have bought in multiple websites all over the world (including UK, EU in general and US) and never have I experienced a website that will change prices according to where a person lives. That sounds even more outrageous than not having an explanation for this (or admitting to your mistake and refunding me the difference in pricing). I have tried switching my billing and delivery address to the UK and to multiple other countries, to see if what you are saying is true, only to realize the prices NEVER change back to the prices you announce!

    You have to have a better explanation to give me for charging me almost 20% more than what you advertised than "Without logging in you see incorrect prices (general ones)".

    I refuse to believe that this is the company's policy in this case or ANY other case, because if that is the case, than you have NO work ethics.

    Seeing as the majority of whats in this thread is negative, I thought that I would briefly review my experience with selectspecs.

    I ordered a set of glasses with 1.74 lenses (my prescription isn't great). From submitting the order, to sending in glasses for PD measurement, to actually receiving the glasses the service was as expected - fast & responsive.

    I had to wait about 15 days to receive my glasses, but was happy to do so given the cost savings.

    I'll definitely be back for another pair before too long...
