Glasses....anyone buy from Selectspecs or eyewearcentre?

well somebody has updated my frame size on my order, without apparently having my glasses.... that is some sort of a crystal ball they must be using.

No probs. It wasn't the fault of customer services, they only have the information that's on the screen. Your glasses came in but it looks like they were not checked in on the system correctly, so your glasses were safe just not logged.“Official Company Representative

... because they offer awful customer service
Sent my glasses away for a reglaze last Tuesday. The next day, Wednesday got email to say glasses had arrived but that they couldnt do that shaped frame. With no other option available I had to cancel. Fair enough these things happen, annoying but no the any of the world. (They werent particularly weirdly shaped)
Fast forward to Monday morning and I hadnt heard anything - seeing as it only took overnight to deliver my glasses to them I expected to recieve back in a similarly quick fashion (they are charging me £7.50 after all!). I email to ask where my glasses are and more details of exactly what they are refunding me.
Seems that even though my order was cancelled last Wednesday they didnt get around to posting my glasses back to me until after I emailed on Monday - didnt seem to cross their minds that I may want my £100 frames back. When I ask when I should recieve them I get a generic email saying it may take up to 10 days for my glasses to be returned - 10 days for £7.50!!!! - its cost me a fraction of that to send them to Select Spces next day recorded delivery - and they got them the next day, now its looking like it will be at least another day before I get them if I'm lucky.
On top of that I paid £62.50 for nothing, take away £7.50 for my ultra secure 10 day delivery gold plated hand delivery, brings you to £55 but they tell me they are only refunding £50 - no idea what has happened to the other £5 - perhaps that is a storage charge for holding my glasses for 5 days before sending them back to me. Or perhaps its for the PD test that they told me they couldnt do? - nice charging for something they claim they couldnt do.
An awful awful customer experience made worse by the fact that they do not give straight answers to any question you ask and they can not actually respond to two questions in the same email. I have emailed several times now, and every time I have asked two questions and they have never responded to both questions at the same time - you have to send another email to get them to answer the other question. (this has happened repeatedly!)
I would strongly recommend you to avoid this company - any company online company that fails repeatedly to give you straight answers to simple question should be avoided like the plague

I just want my frames back, and i'd prefer if I didnt have to pay £7.50 for delivery that takes longer than one day - made worse because of an error at your end with you have admitted!
But above all else its the not giving straight answers and not answering all my questions that has really irritated me!I have had to send multiple emails to get this sorted.
It was disappointing that you couldnt reglaze my glasses but that disappointment has just been compounded by awful customer service0 -

I ordered my glasses 1 month ago and have received nothing yet. i sent an email a few days ago and I haven't received a reply yet. Rubbish customer service and fantom glasses. Only order if you want to wait forever.Avoid SelectSpecs like the plague. Six weeks ago i order a very simple set of glasses. I am still waiting for them to arrive. Apparently they were recently posted from HONG KONG, and have to wait another 20 days!!
