Glasses....anyone buy from Selectspecs or eyewearcentre?

I've used select specs too and have been very impressed with their service and their product - my glasses are great and pd was absolutely fine. I've also used lensway and am currently finding my way through their returns policy as my glasses weren't right, seems to be going slowly, but ok.

I ordered fro SS on the 9th july and the glasses still have not come

there was a delay in the beginning because they had glasses on the site that are discontinued so i could not have my first choice - then the delays started - and the excuses, and the promises...

even though they have assured delivery twice - they have not arrived

and now the usually fairly prompt responses for customer service have stopped all together...

Buyer beware... the glasses also come from Hong Kong - from reports they are brilliant products and beautifully packaged - it just seems to be a bit of a lottery as to whether you get them or not!

will update if they (ever) arrive!

After reading this thread I wanted to share my experience.

I ordered 2 pairs of Glasses from SelectSpecs in March, one pair for me and one for my partner. My previous pair of glasses I ordered from another company online which I thought were cheap compared to the high street which I used to pay about £150 a pair in the past. And looking at SelectSpecs prices I was even more impressed!
The extra free coatings which other places charge £5-£8 pounds extra for each convinced me to buy from SelectSpecs.
I read before hand that the glasses I was buying would be shipped from Hong Kong and I expected about 14-21 days for delivery as I do deal with HK Post quite abit so I already knew what to expect.

However...
I placed the order and both pairs were delivered in around 10 days from HK!
For the cost of only £20 for both pairs including delivery they are outstanding quality, both perfect vision for me and my partner and with the free cases and coatings too.

I have since ordered another pair for another family member which was delivered fine as well and just ordered another 2nd spare pair for my partner today.

Can't fault them!

PR, Can you give me an order number for this, I'd like to look into this for you?

Our budget glasses do come from HK and we state this on our website while designers ship from our base in the UK.

Everyone should get their order and I'd like to know why your's have not arrived with you.

Great to hear, it's also great to hear orders for our budget collections are arriving in good time.

I've had an awful experience with Select Specs. Fair enough, the glasses are cheap - but so is the service!

It has been 3 weeks and still no shipment in sight. I have now had to source glasses from elsewhere. When I asked for a refund and to cancel the (still unshipped) order, was told they couldn't do it. I will be taking this up with the credit card company if Select Specs do not wish to respond to my complaint.

Does anyone have a phone number for them?

I have a complaint to SelectSpecs regarding of a additional payment for the delivery.

I have created two tickets on selectspec already more than 5 days ago and no response.
