Well that wasted a few mins.

Advice. Spend savings before taking finance. Finance ALWAYS costs more than interest earn't in savings Account. Especially NOW.

NEVER secure loan against car (as previously posted)

    Car Fianance cost 20%+ APR
    Savings earn 4ish%

The dealer is also selling you flat rate finance. Renault tried to sell flat as APR to my dad before i told them to stick their finance. He went with an A&L comapny.

I doubt the OP would agree, but no doubt by now they are the proud owner of a Yellow SEAT:rotfl: that they paid £20k for and are now paying 20% APR for 5 years.

I think the only people truly offended by him are rather small minded, humourless individuals, who like to write complaint letters to the Daily Mail.

I think exactly the same about those that watch the plonker and his dumb cohorts.

I have just noticed that as far as I can see "nicnacnoo" has thanked every post on this thread.

do you know of any 6 or 7 year old FR's there are about???

No but I know of 6 or 7 year olds Leon Cupra's which DO have over 200 BHP for under £2k...

For the £15k extra your paying for a newer car you could get a seriously quick car...
Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.

In answer to the few people who asked how the OP partner could have saved the deposit for the car, the answer is on the first page. He studied part time while working. So he wasn't a full time student.

Blimey, he did well to save so much AND be a student. I'd still like it if OP could clarify, but doubt she'll be back :rotfl:

On the plus side, it would be very easy to find in a car park.
