what brands won't you give up?

Lots of people mention Cravendale milk - I feel like I'm missing out. Going to go out and buy some and do a 'taste test'!
Its not so much the taste of it, its the fact that it lasts longer than ordinary milk. Our household are not big milk drinkers (dont drink coffee or tea) and four pints will last for a good couple of weeks .0 -
Loads of people mention Fairy washing-up liquid. Whenever I buy Fairy it mysteriously doesn't go down and it gets weaker and weaker as my hubby keeps topping it up with water! It lasts long enough without watering down, which just defeats the purpose cos I just have to use more! He doesn't do it to any other brand though.

I'm not that fussed with washing-up liquid though. I buy whatever's decent and on offer and wash with a sponge - that makes anything lasts for ages. If anything, it makes the water TOO soapy. I have Sainsbury's lavender and orange just now, and it's lovely.0 -
Ive got to have branded tea (yorkshire) & coffee (kenco), and bold tabs or powder for washing our clothes, any shower gel and i used asda's own shampoo an conditioner (some- one previously commented ewww????) ifind it does the job, an myself an my girls have lovely thick, fresh-smelling hair;), any thing else im open, bread, foods, soups or juices, i have got a picky dog though, she'll only eat aldis small trays of dog food, but hey at 27p who am i to complain:D. With all our little savings on shopping this year, im off to Florida in 2 weeks for a 3 week holiday:D.:D
- whoops!! sealed pot opened!!! for holiday stuff, £360, an i BLEW it:D

I recently bought a jar of Vegemite as a change from Marmite let's just say it won't be a permanent change!
The other thing I don't think I will give up is Comfort naturals concentrate,it's one of the few fabric conditioners I can use with my families sensitive skin.A woman will forgive and forget but she won't forget what she's forgiven!0 -
Interesting reading this thread
Funny how we all have our likes and dislikes
We won't give up:
-Pizza Express salad dressings
-Hellmans mayo (although we do use Sainsburys own for things like tuna mayo)
-Marmite
-Branston baked beans
-Ribena (I usually have Sainsburys own label squashes on the go too, but for blackcurrant it has to be Ribena)
-Discovery tortilla wraps (we stock up when they are 241
)
-Discovery red and green jalapeno slices
-Discovery refried beans
-Knorr fajita paste (can't stand any of the dry ones in a packet) - I might give the new Discovery fajita paste a go though
-Mitchum roll on deodorants
-Head and Shoulders shampoo (not so much for the anti-dandruff stuff but because my hair really gets on well with it)
- Dior perfumes
-Burts crisps (West Country all the way
)
-Gilette Venus razors
The rest is either supermarket/other own label, or branded if on a offer that makes it cheaper than own brandDFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -
Robertson Golden Shred (for hubby) he has tried others but he says that Robertson is by far the best.A woman will forgive and forget but she won't forget what she's forgiven!0

For me it is....
Econa Sweet chilli sauce
Vimto diluting juice (the no added sugar one)
Mitchum Deodorant
Sensodyne toothpaste (it seems not to be as foamy as others eg Colgate which I prefer. Overly foamy toothpaste means I retch while brushing my teeth
) I'll have to try the lidl one though...
For those saying they can only use Sensodyne, i have such sensitive teeth but find Lidl's cheapy sensitive toothpase just as good
might be just me? But definitely worth a go, it's so much cheaper!Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!
