Decent tea, decent squash, named showergel/shampoo/deoderant and mcvities digestive biscuits. Think that's about it

Tampax used to be one of them but with the stupidity of pricing when the offers aren't on, Sainsburys own are fab.0 -

i better stop now, i do sometimes buy some of the morrisons best range of food.

Mr. Fire Fox is awful, I think everything would be branded if he had his way. He gets the following when on offer: Heinz ketchup and beans, Branston pickle, Ritz crackers, Walkers crisps, Muller corners, Kelloggs and Nestle cereals, Head and Shoulders, Colgate toothpaste, Pepsi.
Now I have read the thread I have realised that most of my toiletries are branded - Schwartzkopf Gliss shampoo, Schwartzkopf Live hair colour, Simple moisturiser, Mitchum deodorant, Ecover shower gel.
In my defense my skin is VERY sensitive, so I stick to what I know and buy from discount shops. Cleaning products: Stardrops and Oven Pride. Food: Hellmans Light, Marigold reduced salt bouillon powder, LesKol cheese, Discovery spice mix. Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Can someone help me understand here? I have tried Mitchum Deoderant and I normally use either Sure, Dove or Nivea.
I found Mitchum left a wierd "film" on my skin, not oily, but not dry at all! When I went to the gym and broke into a sweat, the film became slimey and slithery and I did not feel good at all- I use Sure and this does not happen. I know no deoderant can totally stop you sweating (trhey do try by adding micro-particles to your skin which works by plugging pores- and then mixing with the sweat to turn into a paste or gel and so stick to your skin rather then drip from you) but with Mitchum, the slithery film was not something I could tollerate, it was not something I had ever experienced before-
Did I use it wrong?0 -

I don't know if you can use it wrong.
I only use Bionsen now, since my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer (it's aluminium free). I don't think it works quite as well as the stuff I used to use before, but i'm pretty clean and not usually whiffy.

Dropped brands all together :@) I started shopping at LIDL when one opened down the road (yes im a cheap council estate chav) :@) most of their stuff is on par with the supermarkets own premium ranges and branded products.

Had to smile at that one. I'm lazing here reading the thread munching on vegemite on toast which my son just handed me because he tried it instead of marmite and came to the same conclusion as you.
I'm probably in the 'will eat it rather than waste it' category but wouldn't buy it again, definitely back to marmite.0 -
Heinz ketchup/baked beans
Kelloggs cereals
Head and Shoulders
Gillette blades for OH
PG Tips tea bags
Comfort washing products
Fairy Liquid
Mr Muscle window cleaner
Warburtons bread
Vitalite margarine0 -
I didn't think I had any of these, but I was wrong....Marigold reduced salt vegan bouillon powder....nothing else comes close to it in terms of lifting a tired pile of rice and vegetables to heights of deliciousness.
There are other brands of various items that I buy if I have spare pennies, but nothing I can't compromise on.August grocery challenge: £50
Spent so far: £37.40 :A0 -
Colgate toothpaste. Gillette Venus razors.
Marigold rubber gloves - we will use the others, but Marigold ones are thicker and longer lasting.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0
