Hellmans original mayonnaise (nothing else comes close!)
Sensodyne (for sensitive teeth reasons nothing else seems to work)

    Buy diff brands on offer:

    Toiletries
    Filter coffee

Cats - one prefers whiskas (posh cat), one will eat anything (fat cat), other one likes the cheapest cat food you can find (slummy cat)

    too many comps..not enough time!

With a few things I buy certain brands, but with much of my shopping I buy whatever is on-offer between the few top brands IYKWIM

I like M&S mango chutney, tarter sauce & horseradish & DD likes Heinz ketchup & DH likes Coleman's mustard.

Bon Mamme jams & marmalades ONLY:D

Hellman's (purple) really low mayo, English provender co 2% fat honey & mustard dressing & Cardin's low-fat Caesar dressing (used to be pizza express one, but no low fat version:mad:).

Butter/spread clover - lighter & now & again Kerrygold lighter.
Milk Just Milk, used to be called candia
Cheese - any Parmesan so long as its a block & not sawdust:mad:
Cheddar - Sainsburys TTD are very nice & often on offer or other good nutty crumbly one, M&S one is lovely, especially if on offer.

Smoked Bacon - Waitrose essentials - super thin & is fab grilled well:D

Sausages - Surrey Whites - the best by far:D

    Eggs, any happy ones:D
Fruit & veg prefer Waitrose - lasts longer.

Steak - Tesco Sirloin I've just discovered is half the price of Waitrose Dovecotes & really nice (or any sirloin).
Roast beef - M&S (Waitrose sometimes)
    Chicken breasts Waitrose (M&S sometimes)
Ham Waitrose essentials wafer thin, very nice:D
Mince M&S extra lean, £3.99 for 500gms;) (Waitrose sometimes)

Minced lamb Waitrose ONLY, they are the ONLY retailers to do a low-fat lamb mince.

Great topic! A lot of things we buy are own brand but things i cant do without....

    Hellmans mayo
Heinz baked beans (cant even stand the Branston ones, bleurgh!)
Mitchum deodorant because i cant seem to find another fragrance free one that works *shrugs*
    Liz Earle or Lush skincare
    Pure dairy free spread
    Daz washing powder

For those saying they can only use Sensodyne, i have such sensitive teeth but find Lidl's cheapy sensitive toothpase just as good :D might be just me? But definitely worth a go, it's so much cheaper!

I would never touch any other Tomato Sauce but Heinz, I've been smothering all my food in it all my life - to my family's horror - so I know what I like and its gotta be Heinz. I've tried other tom sauces (or had them forced on me while abroad or by my money pinching mum when I was a kid) - but they all tasted watery, too vinegary or just plain wrong.

However, I recently tried the Lidl Tom sauce - vitakrone (i think) - red bottle with a green top and I really can't tell the difference.

As for clothes, trainers have to be Nike, and jeans gotta be Levi - getting anything else to fit me is like putting a condom on a cactus.

Surely all of these from the butchers would not only be much tastier but save you a lot of cash?!

You must spend a fortune on food.

Can't get the super low fat mince from the butchers, I'm on slimming-world.

As for the roast beef, steaks & chicken breasts would they be?

If I buy anything from the butchers I'm usually shocked at the price once you've asked for 4 of those or whatever.

what a great thread, love the person who lists Molton Brown bubbly bath - it is amazing but ridiculously expensive

I like trying different brands and have recently become a Lidl convert of a fashion - went to Morrisons today and bought 2 items, couldn't believe how expensive everything was!

    back to the point:

Fairy liquid - like me everyone seems to find this in a league of it's own
Lenor - recently discovered - no supermarket brand compares
    Heinz Tomato Soup
Heinz Tomato Ketchup - but will try the Lidl one based on the recommendation on here
Kenco Rappor instant coffee - nice strong bite to it
Twinings tea bags - well mostly
    Domestos or Parazone bleach
Cravendale Milk - good long sell by date
    Quorn sausages (am vegetarian)

...well that's my contribution for now :rotfl:
