I'll join the HHC now. I've currently got 2 extra kids so they're probably all doing damage to my upstairs!

I have just drawn up a list of all the things I need to do before Saturday morning. I think I might well use these lists each week as they cover more-or-less all the things I need to do on a weekly basis apart from bedding and washing which I did already this week. I do like to have everything freshly cleaned/dusted/vacuumed the day before viewings, hence this list being for today and tomorrow. I still kept the levels though as I like it all prioritised... and they help me feel as though I am getting somewhere when one is complete! :rotfl:

Ok back from my HHC, although it went on a bit longer.. I didn't really get that much done :(

    • Put another load of washing in
    • Washed up pet bowls
    • Picked up dog doodoo's in the garden
    • Checked on veg growing in garden
    • Picked two tomatoes from one of the tomatoe plants
    • Cleaned out litter trays
    • Had a drink and a mousse for a late lunch
    • Rung vets (got to pick lodgercat up at 3.30pm)
    • Transferred rest of money over to other account so can withdraw it.
Just going to have a cup of tea then pop to Aldi's before picking lodgercat up, and keep fingers crossed that the blood tests come back negative and they don't have to keep him in on a drip or anything.

My HHC turned into a 50 mins Challenge! I washed all the downstairs floors, cleaned out the bathroom and downstairs loos, washed their floors and cleared the hotspot on the shoeboxes! Delighted, not doing great with my list, I take too long to do everything, so think I'll start doing everything as HHC's! Off to get ready for w*rk, and happy to be coming home to a relatively clean and tidy house for a change.

After a frantic 3/4 hour this is how things look now (deleted has been done, except changing bedding as it was changed a day or so before we went on holidays and so not needed).
I hope to do the rest tomorrow, along with tomorrows list and also any dailies I think of!
Could not resist getting back into my flying as it's part of my daily routine- was not too hard as we have been away for 2 weeks!

Afternoon everyone, I need help and advice on a big problem.

Remember I am looking after my best mates cat (lodgercat) as she is living in Bristol and can't have him in her rented accommodation. Well we are now in an awkward situation. Lodgercat is now unwell, I had to take him to the vets for some treatment as he wasn't eating and was generally losing weight and lethargic. Anyway he had some antibiotics and did pick up a wee bit which cost £32.00 and she didn't pay me, as I said not to worry as I thought it would be the only vist but now he has gone downhill again.

Although reasonably perkyish he still isn't eating and is only picking at tuna (about 2 tablespoonfuls) so I had to take him to the vets again this morning. He has had to stay in and have blood tests done and then 14 days treatment at home, depending on what the blood test results show, this is going to cost at least £106.00. This has now cleared me out of all my money that is in my account, which was to last me for the rest of the month until I got paid. I have had to put off a couple of things I was going to do because basically I don't have the money. She has told me by text that, because she has had to pay out £1500 to her solicitors this month due to her impending divorce, that she will have to pay me the vets fee next month, bearing in mind she doesn't actually know how much it is going to cost because I haven't told her the results yet.

This wouldn't be so bad but she gets her rent paid by the MOD and she took a £9000 pay increase when she moved, and there is only her to look after. So why can't she pay me the fees, she will quite happily go out to the theatre and a meal, or buy clothes at £25.00 a time, but says she can't pay me etc..

Oh and her rent for lodgercat was late this month as well, and even then I got the impression she resented having to pay me.

Dave and I have had a massive bust up over the phone as he reakons I am being taken for a ride and am too soft and should basically tell her how much and demand the money now, and tell her I am left short. Now she knows that Dave will help me out if I need money, but that is beside the point, besides I don't like asking him I want to be independent financially. I always end up going to him..and it's not fair when I have my own money, albeit a little bit, each month.

Dave and I have come to a compromise though, thankfully, after I threatened to take the cats and go. If I pay for the treatment for lodgercat then he becomes mine, that is if Nic doesn't pay me immediately. I also have to sort out the insurance and food for him each month, which I think is fair. He said this with Jet but eventually backed down and is paying for him now.

Also lodgercat doesn't have any insurance with my friend at the moment also, silly woman as I told her to get it.

What do I do? Do I risk losing the friendship and say I need the money this month and not next? Say I will pay all treatment and you hand the cat over permanently and then indirectly that saves you money as you won't have to pay for his keep etc.. Or what?

    Help..

    Hugs and love
    Natty xx

P.s. on the flying front I have done:

    • One load of washing
    • Hung said washing out
    • Drunk two cups of tea
    • Washed up breakfast things
    • Tidied up living room
    • Made bed
    • Swished and Swiped bathroom

Natty if it were me I would just say. If she is a friend she will understand. I really think she should have asked if it is OK if she paid you next month, that way you could have said no. If she takes offence well it is her cat and her responsibility your doing her a service and you shouldn't have to struggle.
