Toots - you made me laugh, DS3 is always saying sheesh. Glad your stitches are out, are you happy with the decorating?
Hi Dusty my lovelyt friend and mentor - I am over the moon with the decorating - only trouble is everything now looks shabby!!!! Not to worry - I am getting a carpet hopefully next week - havent had one in here in years - bare floorboards and a big rug so that will be wonderful too! I just hope i can colour co-ordinate the whole room to do the decorating justice!.
I am pleased to see you have been packing - where are you going and how long for? I know its tomorrow you leave so i will say now that I hope you have a super duper time and you manage to relax and enjoy yourself - you are certainly needing a break. Dont get bitten either!
    love and hugs toots xx
    Peace will be mine

Talking of cat insurance plans anyone know of a good one? need one for Lily cat but I find it all a bit mind-boggling.

Think I'll get the hoover out and play with it round the downstairs, cat claws at the wallpaper and it's dragging everywhere. Need to buy a scratch post.

Triker Fab you've been out, hope you're not over doing it though :D:p
  • Hi everyone. Been busy packing as we're going to Wales tomorrow afternoon. Soooo stressed trying to sort everything out myself. Who'd have thought DH was going as well!

    Anyway, a quick list update:

Wipe all small appliances and replace
    Sweep and mop the floor
Wipe over large appliances and unit doors.. make sure insides are clean too
    Clean out the grotty fridge
Wiggly Wednesday ~ Master Bedroom and landing
Strip bedding, wash and replace.. BEFORE BEDTIME!!
    Vacuum the floors
    Wipe the doors and paintwork
Thursday Thrills ~ Bathroom, loo and Study
    Level One
    Empty and wash out bins!
    Level Two
Declutter the desk and do 15 minutes filing
Clean the bath/shower/loo/hand basins etc.. shine those taps!
    Level Three
    Vacuum/mop floors
    Wash shower curtain/bath mats etc
    Scrub the tiles

Well...that's the bad news...there's still loads to do. But....the good news is.........I'VE CLEARED THE IRONING BASKET!:j:j:j:j

More packing to do so I'll go and do DD2's things while she's occupied with The Night Garden.

Natty....I'm with everyone else. If she's that good a friend she wouldn't take advantage of you like that. Just tell her that it leaves you short so you will be needing it this month. It's her problem if she's short or has to borrow the money, not yours.

    See you later. x

    me again....also need some advice!!

Last night there was loads of screaming. At first we thought it was a child being wound up/upset but eventually realised it was our neighbours. I caught a glimpse out of the window and could see him shouting at her (they are an indian couple about our age). i got really worried and put the light on in the kitchen in the hope that they'd realise we were there and stop. DH then came in the kitchen and said 'it sounds like he's beating her up'. We didn't know what to do. I was all for calling the police but DH was worried that the consequences for her would be worse afterwards. We're still not sure if it was just a row or more but she was really screaming for about an hour.

Just wondered if anyone has any advice? I asked the woman in the shop downstairs if she'd ever heard anything and she said not, but if course she's only there in the day. I don't know them at all and have not even seen them out and about. I did wonder about going round to check if she's ok but can't be sure when he's in or out.

I'd have rang the police, they should be trained to deal with such situations.

Day off and I'm much more knackered than if I was working! Think it's because I go flat out at work at don't stop for 8/10 hours whatever, whereas now I'm sitting down and semi-relaxing before dance class.

Me and OH did the bi-weekly food shop - £30 groceries, £10 in the weigh-shop and £18 on meat so not too bad.

One of my DDs collected early and bluddy A&L have charged me £25, even though the £ went in the same day.

I'm ditching and switching to Barclays - at least they only charge £8.
