Yes dotty they are hoping you will take a partial payment and go away. They owe you the full amount so stick with it. Why not ask ss he's just had his charges back?. Did anyone else read on here that you can tell them you will except that cheque as part payment, but you will be pursuing them for the remainder?

Hey Zippy - I owe £285 to Crap One and theyve offered me £367 (or thereabouts) so this would pay them off in full and give me about £70 quid over.........im a bit reluctant of going to the Court stage and wondered if anyone has ever said - ok lets make it half the amount say £450 and i will accept - what to do?

    Hi Dotty,

I'm paying mine by standing order, unfortunately only £35 at the moment.

I start my new part time job number 2 on Wednesday, so we're hoping to be able to increase the amount soon.

You have to do what's right for you with the bank charges hun. At least it will be one debt less for you to worry about.

Just wanted to say hi dotty :hello:

I could have done with you today. DD has some how downloaded popcorn spyware. We can't get it out so OH is taking it to the computer shop tomorrow.More £££'s gone not budgeted for. Hope it doesn't take to long or there will be no mse

Sounds like your doing well, good that you can do a count down of payments like that, seems more positive than thinking I still owe £x.

Hun, it wont come to that, honest. Chances are they will just cough up well before then.

I had Smile pay up after first letter
I had co-op pay up after second letter
I have booked court for lloyds, theyve offered me the money in any case now, just waiting for a few more bits to be sorted
I am about to go for barclaycard after they have naffed me about, sending a
    letter today.

The positive thing if you get to the court stage is that you get to add on 8% interest, which to me amounted to just over £200.

And also wanted to say hi stranger, havent seen you about in ages, hope thngs are going ok, and looks like your DMP is working out for you? IM reallyt pleased :D
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...

    Hiya Dotty,

Good to see things seem to be looking up for you. Such a complicated life but you seem to have got a really solid plan of action to sort it out.

Shame to let Cap1 off with so little when they'll pay up soon in full if you can hold on. Still nust be tempting to grab the cash now!
