    Dear Dotty

I've never posted to you before, I'm a in the wings kind of person.

    I'm sorry about your loss.

But what I really wanted to say is, I've sat and read all your postings in this thread, you've made me laugh, you've made me cry but more than anything you are an inspiration, I'm like you, I deal with something then find something else to put on top of the "to worry about pile" seriously if anything else you have to get yourself out of this. You will sort out the money eventually probably not today like all of us would like. Yes your probably thinking but these thoughts dont just go away overnight. No your right thay dont, but the biggest thing I'm learning via this website is we are not alone being in debt, some less, some more and some I'd be S*** scared to be in, but here we are, so more importantly we have to learn to find a way to chill out, the DFW way obviously.

We are lucky our OH's know the extent of "our" debt, so lean on that. My OH is as laid back as they come but now I'm quoting form this site he realises how serious, he has taken a proper interest.

Like you my debt has gone up before its gone down but as much as I want to worry, I'm not, I've started my budget changes, hey the sky tv went out today! but thats £18 less a month. But on the other hand o2 threw themselves at me to keep me, so £45 less a month, so thats £63 better off a month.

My car died 2 weeks ago we lent some money and then completely out of the blue we got a gift of a £1000. I'm trying to realise that really is the way life goes!!!!!!

Lock yourself in the bathroom every now and then for a 30min bath with a book etc..., have you got any relaxtion tapes/cds.... play those once a week, or whats your favorite music play that in the car as loud as poss and sing to it. The key to all of these I'm learning is to concentrate purely on these.....you get enough down time to relax/chill out and most importantly NOT THINK.

I think you have done so well you reallu are proofing we do need this site and those around us.

    Keep going kid your fab!

Dear newleafer - thank you so very much for your post - it was very touching to read - I dont do anything on these posts but be totally honest - thats all i can ever be - some days im up and some im down but we all keep plodding on learning lessons along the way - and i think thats the important thing for all of us on here - yes ok were in debt but weve learned the hard way and once debt free i would like to bet none of us will ever get in the position again.

Ok ive had a major setback both personally, emotionally and more importantly on here - financially but ive got to plod on - bills wont pay themselves and debts wont dissapear unless i pay them so hey ho here goes.........

Thanks for all your support - it means more than words can every say........

    love

  • Hey Dotty

Welcome back. I'm really sorry to here about the loss in your family.

Have you made a list of bills that will need paying and jobs that need doing. Thats what I do daily/weekly. I then tackle them one by one crossing them off as I go.
You can only do so much at any one time so take a deep breath and take your time next week. Rome wasn't built in a day and our debt wont be cleared in a month or a year:eek: . But please know that we are all here to help you:grouphug:

Hey all - sorry not been on again for a while but things are still a bit up in the air and i feel worse than ever - bills mounting up with arrears together with no wages for 3 and half weeks out of 6 makes jill a dull girl.

On a minor positive side met with my new book-keeper who is trying to make head or tail of the 04-05 books before she moves on to 05 - 06 - i really really really hope she can sort them out they are the bain of my life and i can feel myself slipping down into the depression i felt over them not so long ago.

I will be on more and more now as i get my life back in order.
