    Hiya Dotty,

Good to see things seem to be looking up for you. Such a complicated life but you seem to have got a really solid plan of action to sort it out.

Shame to let Cap1 off with so little when they'll pay up soon in full if you can hold on. Still nust be tempting to grab the cash now!

    Hey!

I know what you mean about letting Cap One off with this one but the way i look at this one is it clears me debt with them in full, allowing me to close the account asap and take them off my CCCS plan.....I just didnt have the £130 Court Fee.......also I've got another 5 complanies to chase for charges so im taking each one as it comes........

Hang on a min dotty, if you are in a DMP, surely any money you get back from Cap One has to be shared among all your creditors, you cant just close down one of the debts- they all want fair share of it.

I put my court fee on a 0% creditcard, is there no way you can find the cash from anywhere to pursue this.

Hey Lynz!! I wont get the money back from Capital One tho', the balance to them is approx £314, the charges re-claimed stand at £361.00. They are going to knock the money off my balance and close the account (yay!! one gone off the list) and then ive told them to send a cheque for the remainder which i will then ring CCCS and overpay them by that amount - may only be about £45 quidish or so but at least its all going to the cause!!

    Btw - hows things ??

Things are OK with me. Still getting the flat ready for sale, still off work, still awaiting treatment, still plodding along, you know how it is!!

Yep - it's a little fairy step towards being debt free!! when you think about it really - the £314 i owed them together with my £276 payment means a big chunk has come off my debts this month already.........feels good.
