I cancelled last night but wish I hadn't now lol, can I ring them and tell them I've changed my mind and want to stay with them?
  • Can I ask from people's experience whether:

    1) they have been able to ask for their Orange Pay Monthly contracts to be converted to PAYG because of this change in T&Cs
    2) what do you do with your PAC code to get a new contract

I use my phone for business and I am worried I might lose my telephone number so want to make sure whatever I do I don't lose my number. Thanks in advance!

    Can anyone help please?

This is what happen to me. I cancel, get my PAC, transfer it the PAYG on 3. As it takes 2 days for the number to transfer, I call orange and ask them if I decided to stay, what can they offer me. The offer me Nokia 6700, 200 mins, unlimited txt, 18 months contract for 10 pound per month. I didn't haggle much for extra minutes as didn't need that much
anyway .. So worth to call their CS and asked for offer.. HTH

Helppp! I rang them up and got thru to a great guy i just said "call charges" and he said thats all you have to say, ur pac code will be with you in 3 - 5 working days. Problem now is, i cant get a contract with anyone else, failing the credit checks :( Is there anyway i can un cancel the disconnection?

    TIA

If u requested ur PAC, disconnetion will only happen if u use the PAC to transfer ur number to other provider. If u don't transfer it after 30 days, then ur contract will continue as normal ..but u can always call them saying u want to stay n ask them for extra discount or offer. HTH

    Answer for 1
Yes.. I convert my Orange pay monthly contract to pay as you go on 3. Same number, different provider. All u hv to do is, cancel Orange and ask for ur PAC, get a PAYG sim from 3. Call 3 telling them u want to port you number to them. It will take 2 days to transfer . 3 will ask 4 ur PAC number to enable them to port ur number to them

    Answer to 2
Same as above but u need to bring ur PAC number when want to get
a new contract. Best to do it instore as staff will help u do it.

They are so frustrating! Fourth call from my friend, they said (again) that she doesn't meet the criteria, so i tried to speak to them, asking that if the minutes were exceeded would the higher charge not be applied? operator said yes, so i said well then it does apply....he repeated word for word the bs about the criteria, every time i explained that regardless the charges apply to everyone, so someone else is going to call back within 24hours (apparently). AND they claimed it had been ofcom regulated, told them we knew it actually wasnt, they claimed it was according to their legal department but then didn't mention it again when asked why a cancellation wasn't possible. Any advice on what to expect from the call back? Apologies for the incoherence of this message, am pretty annoyed at orange atm! tia

OH has had a text from Orange to say that PAYG charges will be 20P per min. Don't know much about mobiles, but that seems rather a lot to me.

hi, i called, cancelled it, asked for pac code, was told it would be with me by the end of the week. quite happy with that.

today i get no signal all day, and "limited service" to get told that my contract was cancelled immedietly and they said that if you cancel your contract due to breach of terms of service, they have to cut it off straight away. is this true?

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm i think oranage are making it up as they go
