Helppp! I rang them up and got thru to a great guy i just said "call charges" and he said thats all you have to say, ur pac code will be with you in 3 - 5 working days. Problem now is, i cant get a contract with anyone else, failing the credit checks :( Is there anyway i can un cancel the disconnection?

    TIA
  • Can I ask from people's experience whether:

    1) they have been able to ask for their Orange Pay Monthly contracts to be converted to PAYG because of this change in T&Cs
    2) what do you do with your PAC code to get a new contract

I use my phone for business and I am worried I might lose my telephone number so want to make sure whatever I do I don't lose my number. Thanks in advance!

    Suggestions...

Write to them [then the lying scum can't deny talking to you...oh, yes they do.]

If you're certain of your rights, and they are delaying/refusing tell them you'll be cancelling the direct debit whatever they say and you'll see them @ arbitration/court.

Don't take any sh17 from them.....

ok... when I cancelled mine the woman said that the text messages were being sent "in batches".. but she had no idea who had received them and who hadn't... if someone wants the text sending to their phone along with the number it came from then just ask and either me, or someone will do it i'm sure.

  • Just had a phone call back from Steve from the CEO department who said that he was putting me through to someone in the retentions department who will explain the situation to me.

"Oh no" here we go again I thought but to my surprise a guy called Lee just simply explained that he was terminating my contract as of tomorrow and gave me a cancellation reference No.

He couldn't believe how many times I'd been knocked back.

Thanks to everyone on this thread and the guys over on BitterWallet

mrsv05...Personally I would stay if if you are happy with what you have got, as you only have 2 months left. If you find you are affected by the changes then you only have 1 month and you can cancel anyway.

Thank you all for your help, I have sucessfully cancelled today. I rang Orange on sunday & was told I wasn't elligable because I dont use said numbers or go over my minutes. Then on monday I rang ofcom & registered a complaint they gave me my ref no & ceo number to ring them back on, which I did & they said someone would ring me back. I got that call this morning she put me through to retentions & that lady said yes & we agreed to be disconnected in a month. Makes me happy as I really hated my phone :0)

I've still not had a text

Never go over minutes but do use mobile internet but pau £7 for unlimited so doubt it would affect me

My daughter never got a text but she cancelled anyway. I got a text on my PAYG phone. Orange are pants.
  • i have just rang to cancel and the guy said i cant cancel until i have received the text message...is this true? do the changes not apply to everyone regardless of the text message?
