They wouldn't let me cancel. They said that everyone's received the text. I said that I go over my minutes and she said that that's because they've been overcharging me! She's refunded me the money and given me free picture texts each month.

I'm never very good at standing my ground. Wish they had let me cancel, I've never had a mobile phone with such an awful reception before (first time I'd ever been with Orange).
  • do i just call 150?

i told my boyfriend after i changed my contract with orange on saturday. his first call to them they stated he wasnt eligable, so he ended the call, he called them again got sent to the disconnections ppl and the man he spoke to said the texts only go to the ppl who is affected so thats the first hurdle so he managed to cancel his contract with orange and get an iphone lol.

sounds to me after reading all the previous posts is that ppl will only disconnect you depending on their interpretation of the brief they had about it on saturday morning as the bloke who disconnected my bf said "he doesn't know what he's talking about i'l override his comment" - talking about the person he prev spoke to. so i really think it depends who you speak to unfortunately :-(

They've just told my friend this...

"4.32 the variations have been imposed on them and its been ofcom regulated so no customer has the right to cancel"

I'm highly suspicious of this but my friend doesn't want to argue unless he knows he has a valid point, can anyone shed any light on this?

That is allegedly a complete lie, according to BitterWallet today..

    http://www.bitterwallet.com/cancel-your-orange-contract-official-statement-from-ofcom/16524

This is what an Ofcom spokesperson told Bitterwallet this afternoon: I’ve can confirm that Ofcom hasn’t approved any changes that Orange has made to its prices. We are in fact now talking to Orange to stop their customer service advisors from telling that to consumers.
  • You get a contract?!!

I am surprised. I just got a customer info sheet.

Check out my earlier posting today and the associated poll You will see what I mean.:beer:

    Squaddieskin.
  • I've still not had a text

Never go over minutes but do use mobile internet but pau £7 for unlimited so doubt it would affect me

Does anyone know what time the call centre shuts? Is it too late to try again now? Many thanks
