  • My two penneth....I wanted to test the water with https://www.mazumamobile.com and emailed to ask if I could drop in and pick a cheque up. They replied next day saying that was absolutely fine....So that was positive.

Their prices are ok, not great, I got £25 more on eBay for a phone, but that is luck of the draw, if you can be bothered etc. As I say, a positive was that they would let me collect payment.
  • Hi
Has anyone found a site which will also pay for extra chargers/ in car chargers etc?
    Cheers

Skywalters, how do you know the value of the phone before sending it off?

Also, has any ever heard back from Mobilephonebuyer?

There were a couple of posts in November about long contact times but nothing since - any clues to actual repsonse times? If they don't respond, Martin needs to remove them from the article.

I emailed at the end of last November and have never had a response, only the automated email saying, "thanks for your query etc etc"

It didn't bother me as I got a good deal through cex.co.uk, but it is pretty shoddy service.

  • Tried the Nectar points - they offered me 500 points (£2.50) for my old Samsung A300. Mobiles2cash offered £5.50. Tried other sites - various prices down to £1.60.

Vodafone have also launched a Recycle/ Buyback scheme for all of their contract customers.

As with the other mobile phone trade in schemes covered here they pay true value for what customers old mobile phones are worth.

The great thing about this scheme is that you can call them direct for free on 54321 from any Vodafone mobile, and get a free returns bag sent direct to your house, and then get the money paid direct onto your mobile phone bill as a credit.

They also offer the service to all customers upgrading via their call centre.

How did you hear about this? Both my friend, sister and myself were not told about this. I have contacted them, and I was told that the only scheme they had was where you donate your old mobile and they give the money to charity, but that was some time ago!

I was in a Vodafone store last week looking at a contact upgrade. They offered £10 fix price trade in or £8 if you don't have a charger.

If you call them on 54321 they will give you a quote on your old mobile over the phone
