I love my e-reader and iphone for reading. It is amazing to have access to hundreds of books without them taking over the house.
OH is out doing the shopping- am hoping to try cookies and banana sponge from my Economy Gastronomy book. I'm enjoying the new Nigel Slater series too. Shame they don't do more cookery ebooks. So far I've only got one :-(

Also tons of recipes on the Old Style boards, BBC website etc. A lot of the Old Stylers are copying and pasting interesting recipes into a folder which I assume you could transfer to your e-reader?

Ooooh- thanks that is great. I use the internet sites already but hadn't thought about trying to transfer them. Could be possible.

I'm pleased that things are going so much better with my budgeting since I started on here!
I haven't done so well on the costs to do with the house since it wasn't really a long term plan. However on things I'd planned in my budget I'm doing much better and not having to fall back on credit cards. Car was serviced and had MOT today and the money is sitting there ready! Luckily nothing major wrong and just the usual small bits needed doing :j
I've dropped the price on the house and have a couple of viewings lined up so fingers crossed!! Housework time again!

Thanks very much- very useful.
I'm not quite sure what you need for designing meals- have to eat relatively bland (ie non spicy but herbs and non-fiery spices ok) meals with lots of soluble fibre. Could probably do with more iron in diet and am struggling to maintain weight right now having been ill. Budget probably fairly normal but anything that cuts down is good!! Is that the kind of thing you need? Thanks for helping out!

I am a she not a he!! :eek: For soluble fibre you should have more oats, all beans and lentils, fruit and veg.
