I had got it down by 25% so I'm almost back where I started....then again if I hadn't started I'd be a couple of thousand more in debt by now I expect!

Have you had piggie flu? Poor Jellie!! What have you spent the extra money on - essentials like fixing the car or naughty things? Can you chop up any cards so it can't happen again?

I am loving the Grocery Challenge, it's seriously addictive. Of course this means I need more budget cookery books from Amazon ... Are you a member of your local library? Do you have an Oxfam bookshop in your area? At least then you are donating to charity; we have a rubbish city library so all my unwanted books end up there.

Had a couple of infections that just won't budge!

Extra money mainly things to do with getting house on market (bit of a spruce up plus paying for HIP etc). Once it sells I'll get the money back out of the equity but in the meantime the debt is worse. At least it is at 0%. I just need to pay it back before the 0% finishes.

I need to post more on the grocery challenge. I rarely have the chance to catch up on many of these good threads as they move so fast.

I do use the library but where possible I read ebooks and get most of them free. I always take books I clear out to the charity shop.

I've joined the 1 debt in 100 days challenge to get me back on track.

Hi everyone!
Still not well hence the lack of posts.
Free ebooks I get from Project Guttenburg amongst others. They tend to be classic books that are out of copyright.
The up side of being ill is that I haven't been well enough to spend much! A bit of money on food but nothing else!

Hope you feel better soon Are you meant to be back to school tomorrow? I know the school I've just finished working in to do my PGCE are, although think that may be abit of a late start compared to some areas!

I finished at the end of term in July as doing full time PGCE ( secondary) which i start in 2 weeks so i've had quite a long break! I started as a cover supervisor after degree to help me decide what keystage i wanted to teach (originally wanted to do primary)then was offered a year as an unqualified teacher after a year of doing that. And it still hasn't put me off! Are you secondary?
