I am a she not a he!! For soluble fibre you should have more oats, all beans and lentils, fruit and veg.

Didn't think to point that out as I know you're a girlie.....urm or should I say lady??

Thanks for the advice- I have to try and increase soluble fibre without having too much roughage so I have to be careful with some fruit and veg.....still trying to get my head round it to be honest.

Had a viewing today- seemed to go ok. However I'm feeling down as I'm terrible at doing the patter when showing someone round. I end up talking about the not so good points and forgetting to sell some of the good points......help!! I think I'll have to write stuff down to read through before I have to show people around!

Thanks Firefox- have downloaded it and the recipes look great. Brown sugar ice cream sounds interesting!

Last house viewing was a no go but have another at the weekend. Am wondering why you pay an estate agent when you seem to end up doing all the viewings. I'm not the best at selling things so any tips on how to do the viewings are appreciated.

Just popping in quickly to write something down that I need to remember to think about!

As I've said before I tend to go through phases where I do really well and throw everything I can at my debt. However, when life gets rough, I suddenly feel deprived or I'm bored and near the shops I can then have a major blow out, give up for a while and end up where I started before all my good work.

Was reading the Debt Free Birthday Club thread and read a great idea from someone who sounds like they do a similar thing. They have decided to have 2 months where they throw everything at their debts followed by a month break where they can treat themselves a bit more. This sounds like a great idea to me. It might be a useful strategy for me- provided I stay in budget. I'm going to think about it a bit more. Maybe instead of a complete break I could have a month where I focus on making extra money rather than scrimping and saving every penny I can spare.

Time to do some accounting and see if I can make any extra payment to the credit cards.

There was something a while back where one of the guys was going to have a No Spend Month, and earn as much extra as possible simultaneously. IIRC he calculated a very impressive potential total - I thought it was an ace idea ...

    Found it!!

    Thanks YB.
I've just been having a quick rummage through the pressie boxes and reckon with a bit of cunning and ideas from here I might get away without buying too much more for Christmas. I've got lots of hampers I can use and they're taking up lots of space so I think I'll try and make a hamper for some of my family members. I guess the next challenge is sorting out Christmas while spending as little as possible. OH is 40 in December and I haven't a clue what buy/do for him. Time to get the thinking cap on!
