hey jellie just read your diary from start to finish.
well done you on getting this far. I have a similar mind frame as you i think. When ever i start a new plan i always immediately think of the things i need to carry out those plans, like oooh i definitely need a nice new lovely pad and pen, of which i have about 7 all having only about 3 pages used in them. and i'm right with you with the 'needing' another freezer to batch cook stuff etc....
naughty isn't it, anyways you're doing really well.
keep your chin up and i hope you feel better soon

Thanks Missy. It really helps knowing it isn't just me.
I have a pile of notebooks with gorgeous covers- none of which are more than half full :rotfl:
My problem is I start to journal or write recipes in or something but I'll only add things that I feel are 'perfect' since the book is so nice.
In a journal I don't like to write anything negative and I won't write a new recipe unless I can do it neatly.
Complete madness!! Hopefully we can learn from each other on the DFW path!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
lol I am exactly the same, the notepad only has neat writing in and is only written in in matching pen......!!!!! ridiculous i know..... hence why I've started a diary on here, no need for new notepad or pen;)
little things hey.
I'm sure we can keep eachother going, although I am severly lacking in motivation but I haven't spent anything this week apart from on petrol, no chocolate hurrah which should also help my expanding waistline... going to go truely oldstyle next week with my cooking from scratch and meal planning
keep smiling honey

I do the matching pen thing as well- even worse I use purple ink so if I can't find the pen I'm in trouble
I hadn't thought that it's easier on here because you don't have to worry about stuff like that!!
Sounds like you're having a good week. I'll have to find your diary to keep up with you.
I have some good old style phases. At the moment I'm concentrating on increasing my fruit and veg by finding ways to get them into main meals in a form that the OH will eat!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
lol my OH is the same, he isn't too bad with veg, but salad no way, apparantly he can't see the point of eating something that tastes like water?! weirdo that he is!!!
have you tried whizzing up some cooked broccoli and putting it in spaghetti sauce, you can't even notice it, or canneloni is always yummy and you forget it has veggies in.....0 -
p.s. by all means come over to my diary I warn you it is full of inane ramblings but you can always pull up a comfy chair and I'll make you a cuppa:D and we can compare notebooks lol0

I find soup is always a good way but doesn't really help with dinner. Getting there gradually- peas in rice, roasted Mediterranean veg and cheesy leeks have all gone down ok so far! Unfortunately he hates tomatoes unless they're in a sauce. I might have to try canneloni as I've never done it before.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0

hi - Jellie jsut read your diary all the way thro - glad I joined at 6 pages LOL
You sound like you are doing really well. I need to stop the fritter money.... The big spends I am okay on... grocery is doing okay - its all the nongrocery items that are an issue
I am also a stationary fiend - but on the recipe thing - I print them out off the internet and cut and paste them literally into my book - as like you I don't want my writing to spoil it LOL
I have had to rediscover the library to reduce my book spendAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I have to admit I haven't managed to read all your diary yet
I think most of us find fritter money hardest. The little bits here and there are so justifiable but soon add up!
I've been printing recipes off the internet and really ought to get them in a folder or book before I get too many of them. Annoyingly I'd started to put them into an application on my phone but then it didn't back up properly and I lost all the information. Will take ages to start again from scratch.
I go through phases with the library- I used to forget to get things back on time and get fines! Found it good for audio books to listen to in the car though. Much cheaper than buying them.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

French onion soup and chicken noodle soup can make a substantial supper, as can anything with lots of barley or lentils in. Don't forget pulses count towards your five a day and some brands of baked beans are two portions per half tin! :T How do stir frys go down?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
