Hi Jellie thanks for pooping in on my diary. I have a diet coke habit to but am down to one a day with lunch! Got 20 cans for £6 in tesco the fridge pack ones! I to have a notebook fetish!!xx Loving your diary.0

French onion soup and chicken noodle soup can make a substantial supper, as can anything with lots of barley or lentils in. Don't forget pulses count towards your five a day and some brands of baked beans are two portions per half tin! :T How do stir frys go down?
Good ideas- I have to be a bit careful with pulses but haven't had a stir fry in ages and they are an excellent way of getting the veg in. Must look up some new variations on stir fry as I seem to be in a bit of a rut.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

I'm not allowed to buy any more on the 100 day challenge and am down to my last fridge pack. I find it easier to drink less as the weather cools down. At least now I feel I'm past the addiction
Maybe everyone who writes a diary on here has a notebook fetish and a fleece blanket!!

I have a system for what to put in stir frys.
Something red (red onion, red pepper, red cabbage), green (sugarsnap peas, brocolli, shredded greens), yellow or orange (baby corn, yellow/ orange pepper, carrot ribbons). Occasionally I add something white (spring onion, chestnut or exotic mushroom, beansprouts). That way it always looks really attractive! Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
I have to admit I haven't managed to read all your diary yet

I think most of us find fritter money hardest. The little bits here and there are so justifiable but soon add up!
I don't blame you - I think it is now at 61 pages! It always amazing me that a) anyone ever goes back and reads the lot and b) that it is still going strong that many pages later....
I wanted to do a food order via mysupermarket.com but the connection between them and Asda has now been down nearly 18 hours that I know of - very frustrating! I am worried I will spend far more if I got in tho.... I have a free delivery code tooAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I like that idea- you do seem to have a lot of them.
I'm lucky to have such great input to my diary from everyone.
Next time I do a stir fry it will be a FireFox Rainbow Stir Fry!savingholmes wrote: »I don't blame you - I think it is now at 61 pages! It always amazing me that a) anyone ever goes back and reads the lot and b) that it is still going strong that many pages later....

I want to read it all but it might take me quite a while to catch up! A long diary is a good sign that you've managed to stick with things even going through such tough times.
Annoying about your shopping. I hope it sorts out soon.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
hey jellie hun just wanted to pop in and say hello. And you'd be very proud of me today I went into wilkinson and saw some lovely poker dot notepads and pens, but I didn't buy them!! I really wanted to, one for my debt free journey and a pen to match as they were so cheap but I refrained!! I can't believe I managed it, my will power has gone sky high, I feel almost angelic lol.

I got my shopping thro in the end £66 after a £5 free delivery code. :j I am really pleased as otherwise I would be tempted to go and buy more things towards xmas whether we need them or not. I am so grateful I joined here July 08 if I hadn't then either we would be maxed out on our credit cards or selling the house by now! Our debt is still going down just more slowly that I would like. We were tempted to write a credit card cheque to ourselves this month, but we have decided to wait a little longer! OH is worried and I think rightly that if we had money in the bank even if it was credit card cheque money that we would relax too much and spend more....
In theory we could survive to Jan ish if we are good.... so going try and wait as long as poss in the hope I get some more income in in the meantime!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I've had to relinquish the control of the grocery budget and cooking this month as I haven't been well. I should probably have done online shopping to save my OH having to do all the running around alone. Can't wait to be properly back on my feet and doing more cooking again!
It sounds like you've made the right choice with the credit card cheque. It is good to have the option there if you need it but as you say about the groceries in the run up to Christmas it is difficult to keep on top of spending.
I don't know about you but I find I sometimes spend more because I do lots of little MSE gifts where I could get away with less. I feel like where I spend less I need to give more- even though in reality some of the gifts aren't that cheap but bought early to take advantage of sales and to spread the cost.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
