I don't really have anything that I could challenge myself to give up. I have been through phases where I was drinking wine quite a lot or eating choclate etc, but don't even do that on a regular basis anymore.
Well done for giving it up though as I'm not sur emy willpower would have been strong enough.

    Thanks Ziggy, Yukki and Firefox.

Your input to this diary is really helping me to stay on track!

Grocery shopping yesterday- OH bought some and I got my half with nectar points and had a meal out with the money saved to cheer me up!

We've really cut down on junk food this month and I'm way below budget for the grocery challenge. This month has really shown me that the biggest costs in my grocery bills are actually toiletries, cleaning products and the other bits and pieces that aren't food but are such a bargain that they don't really count :)

At least now I can fine tune my budget and see exactly where I can be making savings.

I'm hoping the only buying things I've actually run out of for cleaning and toiletries should mean I can use store cupboards for a couple of months and cut the bills down. Also I'll meal plan and buy to list next month and see how that helps!

    Hello
Glad to see you are feeling more positive now and you are right you CAN do it and I'm sure you will. I've not been on here as much this week, it's just been one of these weeks and I have let thing slip a bit, but I am back!

  • Jellie, that's a great list to be proud of :) If I manage to get the book we should definitely compare tips - went into Waterstones but they didn't have it today - am thinking I will get it from Amazon and get Quidco points after pay day :)

    Thanks Prim!

I'm facing up to the bleak and depressing figures for this month.

Almost back where I started! Thanks to you guys though it isn't actually worse than I started- without support on here I would have done some major splurging but I WILL STAY ON TRACK. I will get there in the end!!

This month I'm doing the grocery challenge (a more realistic £120 just to be spent on groceries) and trying for another 15 NSDs. I'm going to try to only buy essential items for the month and throw everything I can at my debt.

Hopefully things will start moving in the right direction again.

    Current debt for the record:-

It's coming down and that's the main thing.

    Are you all better now?
