  • New external hard drive appeared today, so have taken all the music and photos off the old pc so OH can give it to one of the cleaners at work - its not worth anything so no pint selling it! Waitiing for the bluetooth dongle to come though, that should be tomorrow.

Asked OH what he was gonna do about money going forward as his mgt is pants... He moaned that I don't leave him enough to live on.... min £250pm is not enough apparently:confused::mad:
He asked me wht I wanted him to do..... stop being so deceitful and sneaky I told him.... ok he said.... yeah, ok then! No breath holding here!

OH did go back to work yesterday which was brilliant :D Just have to wait and see what happens with his wages now :rolleyes:

Updated my snowball properly with all the debts, totally up to date, and our debt is just over £15k.... thats the highest its ever been!

Still, we will get there :money:

    Hey there

Have been reading your diary with interest and the PMA is infectious - tbh you're dealing with debts and circumstances that would have me curled up into a little ball!

    This comment struck me:

Isn't the point (sadly) at the moment that you're getting there, but your OH certainly isn't? Unfortunately I have a brother who used to be much like your OH in terms of robbing Peter to pay Paul, being perpetually skint and treating unsecured debt like it was some sort of God given right. Thankfully he's since had his LBM, but it took a long time!

All I'll say on the matter is you must really love him to stay with him despite the fact that you aren't willing to be financially associated with him and you never expect to own a home with him. I know being a home owner isn't the be all and end all of existence, but you might need to try and hypnotise OH into better behaviour when he's asleep or something! ;)

We guys can be very selfish! Have subscribed and hope to be able to offer more encouraging thoughts in future..

And this is the point.... I'm sure he will have an LBM, but it will take a very long time!
I do love him, very much, and he is also the father of my son. Unless he has an LBM, we won't ever own a home together, fact.

  • Hi Sarah,

I didn't know you had a diary...makes me wanna start one but I don't think I'm in enough debt to warrant a diary!!

Just posting to say hi really...away to find other padders diaries (if there is any!) and say hi to them aswel! x

  • Been reading your diary with great interest - I think I started reading one of your earlier ones when I first got hooked & was impressed with you then....& then I lost track cos I lack techno-knowhow!

Anyway, just wanted to say that I think you are doing very well despite the lack of LBM for your OH - bearing in mind boys mature slower than girls its not surprising they take longer to get on board the DFW-train (not meaning to offend any movey-savvy men out there) My OH is happy to potter along from month to month, up to eyeballs in his O/D, but he is doing much better than when he first moved in.......serious baby steps there!!!
    Men eh? gotta love 'em!

    keep up the good work

Glad to hear OH is back at work. Fingers crossed that it is going well. Hopefully he'll have a LBM too but in the meantime good on you for keeping at it and not just joining him and getting into worse problems

Hows things going hun? I hope your OH does get on board.

I really want to own a home one day, hate renting but no choice especially now.
