I too switched from SP to EDF via TopCashBack with an expected payment date of 30-09-09, but have not been paid.

I have exactly the same problem. My switches were completed around 18th September. My first DD came out in October. Like yours, Topcashback gives an expected payment date 0f 30/09.

As far as a I can see there is no way on Topcashback to report cash back that is confirmed but not paid.

same here, but if you go to enquiries you can leave a note i did this last week and got a reply, although it wasnt very helpful just told to wait a bit longer.
if more complain surely TCashback will do something.

I've followed your lead and complained through enquiries so will wait to see what happens, as you say, the more that complain the more chance of action.

Just got this reply from Topcashback:
    Hi there,

    Thank you for your enquiry.

So that I can give you an update, I have checked this merchant's stats for you and it appears they have paid transactions up to the middle of July therefore, at this stage your transaction is progressing as expected.

Please be aware that certain types of transactions i.e. insurance/fuel/contract, can take longer to reach payable status than usual. This is due to the merchant having a much longer validation period for security reasons, to avoid people purchasing a product/service and then cancelling soon after receiving the cashback (not that in any way I am implying this is something you would do).

We realise in some circumstances that our systems for indicating the estimated payable date are perfect but I do hope that this updates you.

I hope this helps and my apologies that I cannot give you a more definite answer.

    Kind Regards,

So EDF drag their heels paying cashback to stop customers switching again? Seems dubious for two reasons:

    1. I am legally entitled to switch energy supplier after 28 days, using non-payment of cashback to prevent switching is wrong.

    2. Topcashback pay for me to switch, not to stay with the supplier.

I think a complaint to Topcashback is in order as well as possibly dropping a line to Energywatch (or whatever they are called these days).
  • they're just being silly here,it's bad enough switching once a year never mind switching every time you receive your cashback, the majority is suffering for the few again, as long as I get it this side of xmas I don't mind but it's the principle of the thing when they say you'll be paid out at a certain time it should happen and not be stretched out for there benifit.

I thought I'd already responded to this.
