Other than the letter stateing I was in credit with them (SP) after my final bill was settled prior to moveing to EDF, I have'nt heard a dickie bird from them, starting to worry , maybe I've upset them in some way,.can't think how, I suppose they will get in touch in there own time, glad my pay back check is'nt a big one (fiver) otherwise I would be up in arms. will keep you informed as time progresses.

robt7893;I've just received a rebate cheque for ~ £145 and a final account for gas from SP; no word on electricity even tho' EON have taken over my supply, apparently on the same date (24th Sept) as the gas - they have changed the account nos. when they have split electric and gas for the final bills and recalculated everything from May with my Direct Debit amount having been split as well. Doesn't seem to be any way to work out what (if anything!!) I'll be owed on the final electric account. Think I'll have to phone them too!!

I got my gas credit almost straight away after my final gas bill. When my elecricity credit didn't arrive, I got in touch and they said they'd raise a cheque.

If you expecting a credit cheque and it hasn't arrived, my advice is to chase it.

Well i've just come off the phone to SP regarding my final Gas statement, (I recieved my Elect final statement a couple of weeks ago) I thought I might have a problem regarding my final payment as I stopped the direct debit to them last month, it seems all is well, I'm in credit with my Gas payments anyway and low and behold they were just about to send my Gas final statement off to me today, and they will be sending me a cheque in the next 10 working days for the monies they owe me. So it certainly pays chase them up it seems .anyway we'll see what happens next.

robt7893, I also talked to SP yesterday re electric final account (and amount owed/owing). The advisor told me that it had been sent out at the same time as the gas account on 24th September!!
He blamed the postal disruption - promised another copy and also said he would raise a cheque for my electricity credit (~£17); Interesting that a cheque hadn't already been raised for overpayment tho'!! Perhaps they are hoping small credits won't be claimed back (cynical, moi??)
He asked me why I was switching - I told him that I wouldn't have switched if SP had come up with a better deal in the first place, not a more expensive capped option - he didn't seem surprised!!
I asked him to explain the basis of the calculations on my final gas account; he struggled ! but since the overall gas and elec.rebate is about what I expected I won't press the case.

I received my cheque for £69 electricity credit a couple of weeks ago, and chased them yesterday regarding m £130 cheque for my gas credit. It was apparently generated yesterday and I should receive it shortly.

The rep asked me why I was leaving, and tried to persuade me that SP are now cheaper and I should recheck my comparison website. Sounds like they are trying to get us all back

They never asked me why I left aand would I go back, maybe they were glad to get shot of me? anyway I'm quite happy where I am now, got my first months Elect Bill on line from EDF yesterday and gave them my Elect Meter reading which I will be doing every month and the same when my Gas Bill comes, I find it is the best way to monitor my monthly DD's and I can fine tune them if I have to.

Received my final cheque from SP this morning so that's all the loose ends tied up, now we'll see if EDF behave themselves as the months roll on.
