HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
We got a sales call this lunchtime and were told our current free calls/broadband arrangement 'is obsolete'. However the advisor didn't give his name, told me several times that I was being recorded and said I would have to agree to the 'new deal' on the phone as nothing could be sent out 'in black and white'. As he didn't describe what the new deal was and we were going round in circles I thanked him for caling, said I would look into it and call back and hung up. Does anyone know what this 'new deal' is please? And what is happening. Thanks0

Hi All,
As the opening post says TalkTalk have a new billing system and we are moving customers over to this in batches. For none LLU customers some of the tariffs will not be available in the new billing system. There will be a number of tariffs available for customers with line rental and broadband but it may not be possible to offer the exact tariff when the migration to the new billing system happens. All customers affected have been written to so if you don't have a letter then there is nothing to worry about. The tariffs that have been offered are the best fit from the new billing system but if you are not happy with the tariff described in the letter you can register and post at https://www.talktalkmembers.com/forums and I and my colleagues will liaise with the pricing team to see what alternatives are available.
Cheers

Obviously the 'new billing system' must be a technological leap backwards if it can only bill certain tariffs and not others . Isn't this just an excuse to get people on the tariffs you want them on even though they seem perfectly happy where they are? And will this migration mean a new min. contract?Call me Carmine....

Hi Carnine,
There are a lot of "legacy" tariffs therefore a business decision has been made to consolidate these tariffs when moving to the new billing system. As I was not involved in making these decisions I can not comment on why they were made. As I stated in my previous post we are happy to help customers look for an alternative if needed through our forums.
Cheers

Emma, thank you for posting to explain things. We haven't had a letter but we have had 3 phone calls in one day. So can we ignore these changes for the time being, please? Also Martin, in his home phones section writes: "For those on TalkTalk's old version [our edit] Otherwise you'll be automatically swapped over when your current contract ends". Emma, as our 18 month contract won't end for a year can we stay on our existing tarrif until then? Many thanks.0
