  • Yes, Tesco loo roll 4 for £1 best buy right now, its good paper..... whilst on the subject of the quality...... I was told by a plumber the other day never to use Charmin as it blocks drains all the time as its dosnt break down ! I have no idea if there is any truth in that but i might avoid it next time its on offer in the future, just in case !

Wilkinsons has a a pack of 6 rolls for 60p and it is surprisingly soft for the price. It's called Care SuperSoft We buy it regularly unless there is a special offer on for Velvet.

Is it just me or has anyone else been brainwashed into buying only white loo roll?? I can remember being told from way back that coloured loo roll caused problems. What exactly I can't remember:confused: To edit my original post, Lidl luxury loo roll is on offer this week with my local store, it's £2.99, down from the original £3.19 (not the original £3.99 I said before)

Funny you should mention that about the coloured paper - I stopped having it because they said the dies in it could irritate and give you sore bum etc.
    I found it did help.

Anyway, there was no white left last time, and i bought a pack of the beige colour and I did find that it didnt flush away like the white - I queried this with DH as i was wondering why this happened?

  • I thing I am the queen of loorolls!
I only ever buy them from superdrug ( I work there, so I wait for the periodical triple velvet offers to come up!) when they are normally 2.99 for 12.
It normally happens about every few months so I stock up with unbelievable amounts ready for the next time!
I'm not comfortable with less than about 50 rolls in the house!!!!!

  • I use Naturalle which is under £1 for 4 in Wilkinsons and is recycled, Nouvalle which is £1 for 4 in Cooltrader, or Lidl recycled.

This is the thing I am hopeless with, working out when regular offers come around, I think I will have to start keeping a diary!! This is one of the big things in the tightwad gazette, preplanning and buying in bulk with these offers but I either never buy enough or I buy too much and always have loads left when the offer comes around again.

We use Nouvelle here too, 100% recycled and they support the Woodland Trust. Never had any complaints from my lot and it's cheap in local discount stores, 18 rolls just cost me about £4.
