Which toilet rolls?

Options
Can anyone help with my dilemma? My family are consuming enough toilet rolls to wrap the whole of the U.K I think! I usually buy Sainsburys own label or Asda's keeping an eye out for the free roll packs. Normally get a large pack. I have tried getting the cheapie ones.. they disappear within a week..more expensive named brands last no longer than the store brands so which is the best buy? Do I buy loads of cheapies or the store ones? Advice please!

Give them a roll each and tell them that's to last them all week????

I found our consumption dropped when I switched our lot to the Lidl luxury quited brand. If I remember it was £3.99 for 10 rolls. It's in a pink pack.

My one luxury is my Andrex :rotfl:
I find the cheaper rolls last half the time in our house so in our case its false economy but I know plenty of people who use the own brands and swear by them..

Tesco's own (not Value ones) are currently £1 trial price per 4 pack, and last about the same time as Andrex I find, although they are not as gentle ;)

look at the price on the shelf, it often gives price per 100g then you can judge value and price per wipe

  • I think the best ones are the netto luxery 12 pack.they are as good as any expensive brand and last a while!
They are not that cheap,i cannot remember exactly but around £2.75 per pack of 12.

I use Sainsbury's value ones. They don't last as long as dearer ones, but I worked it out and it is still cheaper buying them. I also think they are far softer than a lot of mid -price brands. We are not really allowed any luxury brands where I live because the sewage system is so old and gets blocked easily (not helped by idiot neighbours putting nappies down the loo!).

We use Tesco or Asda own label, (not value) they often do 12 for the price of 9, that's when I buy lots.
