I recently tried the Andrex Aloe Vera (quilted) because they were on special offer, but would'nt recommend them. They are very soft but not very absorbent. There are less sheets on the roll (because they are quilted) which meant we used twice as much as usual.

I will stick to the 'regular' Andrex in future !
If someone ain't smiling, give them one of yours !!! :D
  • Wee have none of that in the Mr P's household - When a visitor wants to "Go" they get 3 sheets of Izal (One up - One Down - and......... One shine):D that is enough for anyone surely?????

    P.S.

I Dont get many visitors coming back again (Bliss............):p

Would have to disagree - since trying the Andrex Aloe Vera we wouldnt go back to anything else - mums house is the same. Tend to stock up on them when they have 3 rolls free

  • Hi

I usally stock up from Makros when on offer. I use their own luxury brand and are fabulous! I wait for the offer of 24 rolls for £2.99 + VAT and buy about 4 lots which last us a while. This offer nomrally occurs 2-3 times a year.

We have tried every loo roll from value to puppy and TBH, the Makros win hands down each time.

I tried the Charmin ones when they were on special offer, they lasted for ages. I only bought a 4 pack and they lasted nearly a fortnight which is a miracle in this house.

I buy whatever is on offer.

At the moment Tesco's own brand (their 'luxury' type) is on special at £1 for a 4 pack.

The Co-op have BOGOFs on Lotus, so it works out at £1.89 for 8.

    If I can't find any offers I buy Lidl's - £2.39 (or thereabouts) for a pack of 9.

I never buy the really cheap ones but I don't buy Andrex either. I can never find a deal to match the others and I can't see what the fuss is all about. Not worth paying the extra anyhow.

At the moment I have over 40 toilet rolls in the house. I'm okay for a while if a toilet roll shortage comes about. I don't want to spend an absolute fortune on something i'm going to flush down the lavvy. :o

I've never actually tried luxury loo roll.I've been buying Tesco value for years.Do the better brands really last longer - I think I'll have to do some research.

We like the puppy ones too, will always look out for special offers (reduced or extra rolls free) and buy extra. Whenever ive used the cheaper ones, they disappear so fast, it really is a false economy!!!
