Which toilet rolls?

I used to always buy Andrex or Own brand luxury packs, whichever were offering 12 for the price of 9; but recently I've been buying packs of 4, various named brands have been on offer at just below the £1 mark. Sometimes it's cheaper not to buy the bulk size packs.
I think people think I'm a bit weird the amount of time I spend in the toilet roll aisle, doing the mental arithmetic and comparing the squeezibility of the rolls.0 -
i generally buy tesco or morrisons value. it is recycled so i feel like i am doing my little bit. but tbh if i see a bargin then i can't help but buy that.
for years i was always too embrassed to buy value loo roll. and would only buy it on home delivery from tesco. but i have got to the point now where i don't care if someone see it in my trolley. i have learnt that we all buy what we can afford and what we like. so why should i feel embrassed by it.0 -
I always buy the best I can when its on offer, waitrose are doing 2 packs of triple velvet for 2.50, so got that last week. Budgens are doing charmin 4 rolls for a pound, so prob will stock up on that this week0

I'm with the charmin - lasts for ages and stops you from getting a sore botty!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Me too. If you're eligible to shop in Makro, they usually have very good offers on Charmin - this week it's £7.49 (+ VAT?) for 48 rolls (it's a 24-roll BOGOF).0

I was always a snob with loo roll and would only use the quilted velvet type which was pure luxury, until I had to start economising!!! I now use Tesco Value and I think it is much better than most mid-range types. It's so much softer than I thought it would be and less than half the price! Winner all round!May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch...:D0

We usually buy Kitten Soft as its £2.99 for 12 rolls down our local shop. Tried Lidls cheap rolls but the sheets were too small and they didn't last long. Tried Lidls 4 ply and it blocked the toilet and drain. I have tried most stores own brand and they seem to be OK but given a choice I would go for Andrex as they seem to be more absorbant. My eldest uses alot of loo roll. We get through 2 rolls a day.0

I've been buying some at Wilkinsons, I think it's called Naturelle or something similar. It's around 84p for 4 rolls, so cheaper than ASDA or Tesco's own, and IMO lasts much longer.
It is decent quality - not as nice as premium brands like Charmin but certainly not horrid and really does seem to last forever. My only complaint is that they don't come in bigger packs (at our store anyway) but 3 packs = £2.52 for 12 rolls, more than a pound cheaper than ASDA shades.:happylove0
