Royal mail make so much on special delivery as most people have to use it to make sure their letter or package gets there on time due to the disgusting service they normally give the public.I worked for them for 14 years but left in 2002 for highly paid work abroad.Postal workers are on great money for the work they do and i did sorting, delivery and also driving.Royal mail are trying to downsize due to the credit crunch but the post office union will not accept this even though they verbally agreed in 2007 to meet new financial demands in the ever changing workplace.

never did i say i was a bad postie.. I've got over 400 customers who will vouch for that.. What i am saying is i don't have to tug my forelock to anyone of you moaners...i DO NOT OWE anyone a living.. i'll say it once more...if you are not happy with the service...CLEAR OFF!!!

At what point did I accuse you of being a bad postie? when did I moan? I am very concerned that you appear to not care about your customers, some of the 400 of which are likely to be buying or selling "rubbish" (as you describe it) on ebay, so keeping you gainfully employed.

When privatisation of the RM comes (which is inevitable I fear) then I'm guessing that the new owners will only want to employ people who give a sh*t. Are you one of them?

So you may nor feel you "owe anyone a living" (again, your words) so perhaps a change of career is in order. Have you thought about perhaps joining the prison service? Your approach to the people you are supposed to be serving will do well there.

"these people are getting on with doing the job they are paid to do though....spot the difference." Give me a break... nurses who can't wash their hands , hopeless police you only see giving out parking tickets..and as for the Government getting on with their jobs of filling their own boots before the rotten lot get kicked out, bankers...well say no more"
I laugh when people say postman are lazy cause the won't go the "extra mile". When their house is at the end of the "extra mile" and they don't get their mail until 15.00 / 16.00 listern to the moans then ...."what time you call this postie"???? get a watch mate ...gate a watch
