25,000 posties going on strike this weekend???

Does anyone know anything about a postage strike this weekend? Apparently (according to the news on Absolute radio) 25,000 postal workers are going on strike

if they go on strike again its just gonna mess everything up for me =(
royal mail should at least compensate their customers its really unprofessional to get ignored by such a big company, and i appreciate thats how the staff probably feel as well.

I would go ahead and post them, it's not a national strike like it was last time, only certain parts of the business are affected.
So this post and panicked tbh :D I'm a postie and hadn't been notified of strike as i am on holiday, but if you read those articles it's only certain offices affected.

    aw !!!!!

The thing with this is, it depends on who you believe.

From the papers some of the practices the union and staff want to keep should have stopped a long time ago and wouldnt exist in a real private company. On the other hand management have closed down local post offices at a frightning rate to cut costs in rural areas where they are needed in the community.

friday,AFAIK the edinburgh mail centre is running with just distribution drivers on strike
