OMG, how the hell do people get rid of them then without having to resort to burning the house down? I'm going nuts with all this cleaning and hoovering. It's taking over my life, not to mention the nasty bites i'm getting. I know I'm fighting a loosing battle though, because I changed the hoover bag earlier, but when I started to hoover I saw the fleas jumping out of my hoover - and back on to the carpet:eek::mad:they must be hiding inside somewhere. Maybe I should just spray the rooms every few days and not bother hooving? any suggestions? manyTIA0 -
I have just caught three on me from sitting on the sofa. I am getting tempted to burn the house down ..............................................0

Are they really that visible?!? I got 2 tiny kittens last weekend, we treated them for fleas on Friday, with some spray from the vet, but I just keep itching. I almost think it's psychological as I can't actually see anything.... I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?0

i thought my new kittens had fleas but they aren't itching , it's just me!! the vet what have said last week when they had their injections if that had fleas or not wouldn't she????

i rang the vet yesterday cos my nans poor moggy is refusing to go in the house now, she hasnt got the fleas the house has! the vet recommended something called skoosh which is a silicone spray which is meant to coat the fleas and the eggs so they cant move or hatch
its pesticide free though so doesnt actually kill them, dont know whether to try it or not?

yes, they are if like me you keep a look out for them. They are very small but you can see them jump all over the place. I'm getting to the stage now where I prefer to be at work than at home. I'm starting to hate my house0 -

you're not the only one jacqhale. I've used 2 cans of expensive spray and I can't shift the b******s. I think I need professional help before I totally lose my mind:mad:0 -
It might be worth looking on your council website, my council sort fleas out for £40, half price if you are on certain benefits I believe. I rescued 2 kittens yesterday and they have fleas, I have frontlined them and sprayed downstairs last night. I am also constantly hoovering and combing the kittens.
I have seen quite a few dead fleas where they sleep so the frontline must be working. Fingers crossed anyway!Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -
OMG NO!
My mum has just been round and told me her house has fleas. she rehomed her cats about a month ago and now her house is crawling.
As i am sat here typing 1 has just jumped onto my hand and now i cant stop scratching.
I'm having a baby in 2 weeks.
We have a cat also about 6 months old and we have always de-flea'd him.
I'm not looking forward to all the washing and cleaning and hoovering - i can barely move as it is.
I have only seen 1 on me and i already want to burn the house down.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
