Thanks Taka and Gally - I have gone with the lower quote with my current insurance company :) I did all kinds of comparisons both on the phone and online (of course via Qu!dco, lol) but they are still the cheapest. It sticks in my craw that they could put the renewal at such a high amount. Ho hum, at least I'm sorted now, and will redo my budget accordingly :)

Thanks SMF2 :) Today is my last day of working at home, need to get a to do list sorted

    2. CHRISTMAS PREPARATIONS
Start wrapping up Christmas and birthday party presents whilst DD isn't around to nosey about in them ;)Still haven't done any of this, maybe at the weekend?!?

Work out what I still need to buy/make - 4 more to go, one each for DD and my parents and something nice for DD's lovely childminder and I'll be done. Phew! Bought DD's and childminder's, mum's is "on order" with a lovely friend who's going to a duty free shop soon thus saving me a bit of cash and dad has asked for a specific something so will get that soon. Yay :)

Look for some tasty vegan dishes to cook for me/DD/mum to take up with us to parents for however long we're there, to take pressure off my dad and also give us a festive treat! Can't seem to find anything that will fit the bill, but there's still a little while to go...last year I did veggie, this year it needs to be more vegan than veggie, so a bit more thought involved as I'm not (yet) vegan, just thinking about it.

    3. HOME INSURANCE
Look for the best money-saving quote - my current provider wants nearly £500 this year and I only budgeted £300. It's due on 15th December so I have a bit of time, but don't want to let it catch me out. :( Have to find paperwork relating to my flood nearly 2 years ago so I can get quotes based on how much I had to claim. Sorted - got this done and dusted :)

    4. MONEY MAKING
Do my b!ngoport posts and play through the points to keep earning an Amaz*n voucher - done, feel brain dead though, lol Still plugging away, I just want £5 so that will buy the book I need to get for my dad, but at this rate I'll be very old, it's so dull!

Send off the CD I sold over the weekend and claim the money from Amaz*n Done, just waiting for the cash

Start writing reviews on D00Y00 and elsewhere. Boring but necessary, it's free money after all! Oops....haven't even logged on to the site, I MUST do that this weekend!

Do some surveys on itsyourvi*w via Qu!dco (70p each if you do one, 1p if you get screened out) Have done a couple, but have been lazy....slapped wrist time!

Some progress but not really enough. DD is now poorly with an ear infection so I'm spending a lot of time cuddling her, and think our weekend plans will fall apart, as I don't want her doing too much whilst her system is on a bit of a shutdown...

    PLANS FOR WEEKEND
    1. Write up a load of D00y** reviews in word and work out how many I can post per day.
    2. Do some more surveys
    3. BP more to try and get closer to the elusive Amax*n voucher
    4. Cuddle DD as much as she needs
    5. Wrap DD's advent calendar pressies in readiness for Tuesday

Hoorah, just bought my dad's requested book at a bargain price :)
    a) cheaper than anywhere else on Mr T as I did comparisons
    b) via Qu!dco (hope it'll track at 15p ...as I also ...)
    c) used a klubcard voucher so it ended up costing me 36p (or 21p if the cashback happens, lol)

So, just my mum's pressie to go and that's me done and dusted for Chrimbo.

I am in awe of your organization!

On a slightly different topic, I am interested in Bingoport. Do you definitely make money - or do you have to speculate in the hope you'll eventually accumulate?

Well, I've only been on there a few days - the good thing about it is that its FREE!! PM me and I think I can refer you and we'll both get some points and I'll let you know what my 'game plan' is :) To be honest I'm finding it so incredibly dull that I'll probably stop once I get to my first £5 Amaz*n voucher, but I should persevere....

Re: organisation - I'm always on the lookout for bargainous lovely presents all year round and even have most of DD's presents for her birthday next year sorted! Sad but true, lol.

No new money has come in from anywhere but Qu!dco is expected at £51 any day now - yippee!!

Thanks SMF - she's coping admirably with all the medicine (antib's and pain relief) and CB**bies is helping a lot :) I used to be just the same as a child, reasonably easily run down and prone to ear infections, so I know what she's going through :( Cuddles are the best medicine, that's for sure!

Was just bored witless so decided to count up the money left in my not very sealed pot, and have put the cash (all silver) in my purse and transferred the rest into the mortgage, a whole £10.50, yay!

So, now down to a meagre £148,238.94 to pay on the mortgage and only 11 years and 5 months to go :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

4169 days / 148238.94 = £35.56 a day to find. How unrealistic am I that I could ever make it

My boy's were prone to ear infections, particulary my eldest, when they were young. I've had ear ache as an adult and mannnnnnn it does hurt:eek:

    Best Wishes

Poor DD, she managed school yesterday but she had a fever again this morning so I kept her off school and luckily had already booked today off to use up some holiday, so I don't feel guilty about work. The downside is that I had planned on mooching around Brighton and having a well-deserved beauty treatment this afternoon but I've had to cancel it, which is unfortunate. On the upside, I've "saved" the money (unless I reschedule...) and it's blooming cold outside, we had our first proper frost this morning, yuk.

I've got £51.60 on its way from Qu!dco and my usual £5 from the bank to come in soon and have "saved" more money by DD not going to the childminder this afternoon, but apart from that all is quiet on the western front....
