Oh grrrr, I typed up a big post this morning but looks like I lost it instead of posted it.
Oh well, it's been a busy day. DD had a really long lie-in this morning, and didn't go to school. I had to wait til early afternoon for a prescription item to come in for her before I could take her up to my parents for the weekend, but unfortunately whilst the chemist ordered the children's version, the supplier sent the adult one. Grrr.
Luckily it turned out to be something I could buy over the counter, so I reserved some for me to pick up near parents and we set off.
The car was 'jumping' which I put down to having only driven very short journeys over the last few weeks due to my back and the car needing a good long run. Nearly 2 hours later it was still doing it and we took dad to nearby supermarket and nearly lost power whilst driving back
Thankfully the friendly mechanics were still open (just) and we bunny hopped our way there, where they spent a while putting the car on the diagnostic computer which was useless, so the guy tried the old fashioned method of pulling out spark plugs and the like.
Turns out it might be something called a coil - hopefully not too expensive and my poor dad is going to try and pick up the part from a dealer tomorrow and fit it using one hand (as he's got a broken arm!!).
So - they're looking after my poorly daughter whilst both a wee bit ill themselves, have let me borrow dad's car (lovely drive, wish I could swap my car for his, lol) and are going to go out of their way to try and fix the car.
Oh and I only have one brake light working out of 3!!
On top of that, I have missed an extremely rare night out so am incredibly pee'd off by that. Seems like I'm jinxed! I'd changed my work hours to have this morning to myself whilst DD should have been at school, think I should stop making plans!!
Anyway, in better news, as of now, I am back on the diet as well. Enough is enough, I have put loads of weight on, treating myself because I'm bored/fed up/in pain. So, as of midnight, I went back on the waggon big-time and am planning on going for a swim before the fete tomorrow. Before then though, I treated myself to a truly delicious and highly calorific supermarket chinese takeaway, an amazing Guuuuuuuuuo chocolate pudding and a vodka and cokeNothing like going out with a bang is there!
Hold me to the diet folks...........I need a kick up the backside from time to time! I am not going to put all the weight I've lost earlier in the year back on, I have got rid of all of my fat girl clothes and have overweight girl clohes only, need to keep in them and start taking them to the charity shop to make way for slim girl things! I CAN and WILL do this0 -
with all your plans :T

good luck with the diet, and sorry you are going through it all it seems. Glad you have your parents to help you out.
My car drastically failed the MOT last month and it wasnt worth fixing it for what the car was worth so I had to buy another bangerwhich I hate but it gets me to work and school!
Hope you both get better soon xMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Phew!! Bought LOADS of my stock of books/CDs/DVDs at the school fete and have got plenty of presents for DD and her chums in future years and a few things to go on AMaz*n. It was really great fun and nice to see so many people through the school doors.
I was planning on going out tonight but am rather achey, so curling up on the sofa with my laptop and Strictlyand then picking DD and my fixed car up tomorrow. Yippee!!

Wow! One of the DVDs has sold already, happy dance - more lolly for el mortgagio! Actually, I'd better watch it before posting on Monday, I only bought DVDs I was interested in myself, the idea of Amaz*n only came to me whilst unpacking my goodies!0

Hello Kittikins... Good luck with the diet. Maybe you'll inspire me too - I so relate to those little excuses for treating oneself (boredom, stress, pick-me-up etc) and every time I attempt a new, healthy regime, I give myself an extra Big Treat the night before...
Let us know how you get on!!!

Poor Pammy, I always sit around crossing my fingers whenever a car of mine goes for a service - even my current car, which is only 6 years old!
Hi QB....the diet started well yesterday, but by late afternoon I was very tired and hungry after working my socks off on my stall, so had a couple of mince pies and a shandy with a few people afterwards, then came home and had far too much dinner. Oh well, at least it's better than having eaten like a pig all day long ehToday is a new day, each time I make the choice not to eat something rubbish is a step in the right direction.
2 more DVDs sold overnight, so I'm already up £5 on my purchases! If anyone reading is thinking of selling bits off, I'd certainly recommend you go through your DVD/CD collection before even picking any books off the shelf. Books seem to be listed for 1p, which means unless you're a power seller or whatever it's called, you'd be paying Amaz*n to sell them...
On some of my stuff, I only make about 50p after A's fees and postage, but to me its worth it. I work near a post office, reuse envelopes, so it's not much of an effort to post things out the next day, and every 50p I earn, is 50p off 20-odd year's worth of mortgage.
Right need to get off my 'arris and start doing things. Picking DD up today, can't wait to see my little cherub0 -
hi good luck on selling them off, someone on here jogged my memory that it was ebay free listing weekend and I have been meaning to list a dragonology winning set on there for months, got off my backside and listed them tonight, dont think they will sell that well as they are more specialised but didnt cost me anything if they dont
Sold one item today though so made a couple of pounds on thatWe will have to keep chipping at it tho wont we.
