I've been reading on other diaries that people are making loads of money on various bingo sites, I signed up for one, and didn't win a bean
Am wary of going for another one, it's so boring and even though bingo is a mindless activity, seem so complicated in their rules!
Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Hey sounds like you're doing great! I got a free voucher for one of the Bingo sites and wasn't sure what to do with it.......I put it all on a couple of games and went to put the washing on and forgot about it. I came back and I'd won £40! I've never done it again as I still don't understand how it works and I can totally see how you could get caught up into just one more game.......Mortgage as at March 2010 £225,000 target for December 2012 £170,000. Hi kittikins found your diary and its fab, well done you, i think your doing a great job and are a real inspiration to your dd.0

Wow, £40 is great, that's over a day's worth of mortgage reduction....hmm...I need to rethink my reluctance to bingo
Looking forward to tonight - its DD's first parents evening at school, and I think she's a little star and from what her teacher has already said, it sounds like she agrees. Makes me feel very grown up....
I've been organised and have dinner all ready for tonight, salmon with peppers, onion and garlic and mash with either cauliflower, cabbage or peas, depending on DD's mood, with yummy scrummy food salad for pud. For DD, a meal isn't a meal without pudding, bless my little epicure, lol.
DD has been very overtired recently and I'm going to pick her up from the childminder's a bit early tonight, get her fed and then round to my neighbour's for babysitting whilst I'm at school, so that she will get a reasonably early night and hopefully catch up with herself!
I had a lovely chat with a regional commander of the Guides about Rainbows, which I'm keen for DD to join when she turns 5 next year. I never went to brownies, but did plenty of out of school activities, and want her to try a range of experiences and hopefully help out if they would like volunteers. I have a CRB certificate and I'm not afraid to use it0 -
Great idea! Is brownies expensive - I used to pay 20p over 20 years ago!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
Progress not Perfection0 -
I hope it won't be, but I'll happily pay whatever it is - it's bound to be cheaper than riding lessons (£20+ for 30 mins, even at age 5, so I think that's going to have to be on the back burner for a few years!!)....
Maybe if I'm a volunteer, she'll get free subs like people seem to do for going to WW, lol.
Parents' evening was great, the teacher was very pleased with her, as am I0 -
I realised I hadn't moved my Halif*x £5 monthly reward money anywhere, so that has gone into the savings pot, I only need £33.03 to fill it now
The overpayment I made into the mortgage this month doesn't seem to have gone in yet, it's really annoying not being able to see a statement of affairs on that account, I loved it when I had an offset mortgage years ago where everything was there in black and white. My mortgage now seems to have gone up rather than down but when I get my annual statement I'll be checking through it with a fine toothcomb. It's probably just the Halif*x putting the interest on for this month or something, their figure is always different to mine, in my favour, so I'm not overly concerned.0 -
...and that £33.03 is getting closer to reducing as another DVD has sold on Amaz*n, hoorah! At this rate the cupboard is going to be empty with just a couple of of newspaper freebies and DD's DVDs, fine by me! I can always borrow them from other people/the library0
-
well done! I've been really surprised at how many of mine have sold too, think I might be more ruthless and stick some more on!

Go for it, if you've not watched it in centuries, you can live without it (or at least that's my rule of thumb!)
The DVD I sold yesterday is one I'm a bit sad to see go, but I watched it last night before putting it in an envelope and the memory of the film will last for ages (and then it'll probably be on TV anyway....).0
