Phew, have managed to have my second NSD of the month today, if I was sensible I'd put a token £1 into the savings pot as I was planning on buying a newspaper but didn't get round to it... DD and I had a lovely day, making cakes and drew each other lovely cards and (trumpets please!) designed a coat of arms!! Bless little DD, we read a book about castles the other week and liked the look of the knight's coats of arms so DD has designed one for us on the back of a cereal packet - a flower, a moon, lots of stars and a house, so cute :):)

Read on a different thread about a survey site on Qu!dco that pays either 1p for being screened out or 70p per survey completed - it$yourview (change the $ for an s). Might be a little earner, I hope!

Oh sounds like a great day! Survey site sounds good too, at least you get something for going through the screening process :)

Yup, made £1.42 yesterday (if they eventually pay up) doing surveys - dull as dishwater but had to do something to alleviate the tedium of watching a DVD of a purple dinosaur with DD, lol.

Today was another lovely day, the sun shone so when we eventually got up after cuddling and reading stories, we went down to Hove (actually, tee hee) for DD to ride her bike along the promenade, then we went for lunch at a dodgy bar (not intentionally, just ended up there as DD was ravenous!).

    Our weekend was gorgeous :)

I do have the best DD in the world (well, my world, that's for sure!). Guess what...I now have food poisoning on top of the back problem and last night was horrendous :( Poor DD was so gorgeous - we had a nice bath and then when we came into the lounge to watch TV for a bit, I lay down on my sofa and put my towel over me - DD rushed over and swapped towels as hers was longer than mine and it would cover me more. It made me cry and I'm teary now writing this, thinking how lovely she was to look after me, and how sad I am that I'm the mummy but she has seen me with a bad back etc far more than I would ever wish her to. The joy/perils of being a single parent I suppose, I can't hide away and ask someone else look after her when I'm under the weather.

Later, when I managed to get her up to bed, she said she wanted to sleep in my bed to look after me, and when I said it was a lovely offer but no, she should stay in her bed as I was worried I might be too poorly, she then said that she would go to bed but if I needed her to give me a cuddle to make me better, that I should just call out and she would come in straightaway.

I know this has absolutely burger all to do with paying my mortgage, but I think I'm the richest woman in the world and having such a beautiful girl makes all the rest seem like mere trifles xxxx

Aw, that's lovely KK. She'll grow up to be a very caring person by the sounds of it. If you ever need a break send her up to me :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

I've been reading on other diaries that people are making loads of money on various bingo sites, I signed up for one, and didn't win a bean :( Am wary of going for another one, it's so boring and even though bingo is a mindless activity, seem so complicated in their rules!

I am not sure if the bingo sites have become more difficult, but i have done most of them years ago and the trick was to extract the cashback from quidco (other cashback site's available:))

Most of them were to sign up through quidco for £20 then deposit £10 and play it all, if you lose it all your £10 up, if you win then that's extra :T

Thanks Gally, how're you fixed next weekend, lol ;)

I think I'm over the worst of it now - woo hoo! I've managed to keep some yoghurt down (for the friendly bacteria, so much for me wanting to turn vegan soon....hmm), so I think I must be getting better now?!?!

I saw the osteopath yesterday who told me I'm not resting enough and being ill/picking DD up off the floor when she fell over has set back my recovery by a few weeks :( Yesterday was a horrendous day *sigh* My lovely parents are coming down this weekend to look after us, let me rest, phew!

And...I've paid another £2.96 into the savings pot, so my sums are now:
    £848.30 needed
    £818.23 in account
£ 30.07 still to pay in

Just checked Qu!dco and they've finally received the £50 for changing broadband provider that I've been waiting for for months upon months, so here's hoping that'll come through next month :):)

Expenses have now been received, so the savings pot is full :):)

And £18 has gone to mortgage :) £148.429.44 - £156.85 has been paid in this month :)
