  • Me again! Here's a thank you card I made for Whoopidoo and the story of why! Some of you may remember me looking for a glue pad at the NEC - well I couldn't get on with that so I've bought some stamp n bond which works brilliantly for glitter on stamps - I love it!

Another thank you card here- this time for the outgoing chair (male) of the PTA. It's using 8 by 8 cards that I bought from Craftwork cards and have never used!

Does anyone know if anywhere sells die cuts? I can't afford a machine at the moment and there's a shape I'd like! it's the curvy brackets one, I can't keep printing and cutting it out it's starting to become annoying lol

Have you looked on Ebay? Only it's where I've bought most of my die cuts from.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
  • Evening all, hugs to all and a big glass of wine for Rusty.

Does anyone use Leone-em punches? I've bought two leaf ones and am having the devil's own time to get them to work. I have to use so much force to get the metal to cut through the card and then the punch bit gets stuck and I have to use a knife to get it to "ping" back up.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

    Thx Thriftyxxx

  • I am typing one handed so please tak eno notice of any typos. I finally finished that handbag card off after making such a mess of it it didn't look to bad. i will put it on my blog tomorrow.
The problem is the person liked it so much they have asked me to do their wedding invites  she wants the cards to be inthe shape of a butterfly. we are talking at least 100 cards so am i best to buy in the cards already in the butterfly shape or should i buy/borrow the fantasy glitter girls board? or is there a cheaper option? Where is the best place for lots of card stock, the paper mill shop?
I don't know what she would want on the front of the card.
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)

Gorgeous cards Glittermum I love the fairy one and the punched edges are lovely xx

Thrifty the card you are using might just be a bit too thick, I have some punches that just won't cut card at all but are fine with paper. Sometimes I cut tin foil to sharpen them a bit.

What's &son? :o His cards are fantastic, how old is he? I think it's really cool that he's selling his cards to raise money for Haiti.

Great cards Tom, they are brilliant and hope you raise a lot of money at school tomorrow. Your mum must be so proud of you, doing your bit to help the people affected by the earthquake. Well donex
